Whitney Rose has filed for divorce from her husband, Justin Rose, after nearly 17 years of marriage, according to Page Six.
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star submitted the divorce paperwork in Utah’s Third District Court, Salt Lake Department, on Tuesday.
Many documents filed in Utah divorce cases are classified as private, limiting the information publicly available about the split. However, Whitney also submitted a proposed parenting plan as part of the case.
Whitney, 40, and Justin, 58, married in November 2009 and share two children, daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13. Justin is also the father of three sons from his first marriage.
Whitney Rose and Justin Rose Were Reportedly ‘Living Separate Lives’
The divorce filing comes months after questions began swirling about the state of Whitney and Justin’s marriage.
As we previously reported, in July the RHOSLC couple had been “living separate lives,” with sources claiming the two had essentially separated.
“They are never together, even when they’re in the same place, like the gym,” one insider told Page Six at the time.
Sources also claimed both Whitney and Justin had privately expressed “frustrations” with their marriage to people close to them.
One source went as far as to claim the longtime couple was “existing” together “for the sake of the kids.”
Another insider alleged Whitney was rarely at the couple’s shared home before filming began in late February for season 7 of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which is currently airing.
