Are West and Amanda back on In the City?

Cameras aren't officially up yet, and our sources say the cast isn't final and Bravo is still deciding what Amanda Batula's involvement looks like. But Bravo just posted a fluffy piece on the couple, and we know Bravo doesn't do that for people it's done with. Allegedly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are cameras up on In the City yet?

A: According to the hosts, cameras are not officially up yet, though pickup scenes may have started, and the show is expected to pick up around the second week of October. They also say the video of Gavin being mic'd that circulated online was for Summer House.

Q: Will West and Amanda Batula be on In the City?

A: Nothing is confirmed. The hosts say their sources told them the cast isn't final and Bravo is still deciding what Amanda's involvement will look like, but Bravo recently posted a fluffy piece about the couple, which the hosts read as a good sign.

Q: What happened in the RHOSLC trolley fight?

A: According to the hosts, a retelling of what Ashley Quai said about the other women got bigger as it was passed along. Things blew up on the trolley when Quai told Bronwyn to shut up, and the hosts disagree about who made it worse.

Q: Do Amanda and B think they are smother mothers?

A: The hosts joke about it after watching Meredith and Seth's conversation. B says she fears she'll be a smother mother when her kids are older, while Amanda says she never thought she was one until she started using Life360.

Do we think that Heather's cold take of, "You married him 'cause he was rich. He didn't sign a prenupt." And she even says in an upcoming clip, I forget who asked her, probably Heather, "Do you think he'll screw you in the divorce?" And she goes, "No, Todd's too good." Do you think she was like, "All right, you know what?

I'm on Housewives," which she may or may not have gotten without Todd's wealth, right? I don't know. If she hadn't married him, she may have married somebody else wealthy and interesting, or she may have become wealthy and interesting in her own right because- Right she's a star. I'm not, but- Right. So she married him for the money, and then got on Housewives, used him long enough to secure her spot, and once she became a sensation, dropped him like a hot potato and is frolicking with models.

Welcome to Cocktails and Gossip, the podcast where we drink cocktails, but you better believe we're gonna spill the tea. We chat reality TV, celebrity blinds, and the hottest tea from BravoandCocktails.com. And as always, it's all alleged and just for fun. We do not verify our blinds. I'm B.

And I'm Amanda. Let's get into this week's tea.

Cocktails at Kids' Birthday Parties and the Cocktail Party Zoom

Hello, Cocktails and Gossip. This is Amanda. You usually hear B talking first and talking with me. So let me explain. We had a little hiccup with our recording yesterday, and we didn't discover it until this morning.

So just the first few minutes of B's side of the conversation did not get recorded for whatever the heck reason. And, like, luckily, we're usually very blessed, and everything works well. So this was just kind of an anomaly. But I wanted to kind of fill you guys in on what we talked about and then kinda what we are in the middle of, so we all get caught up on the conversation. So last weekend was our lovely Tracy It was her son Beau's first birthday, which it totally feels like yesterday if you think about it, because I wanna say Tracy was six weeks postpartum and at BravoCon on camera looking amazing, and the girl didn't sit down all day.

So it just feels wild that Beau is already one year old. And so Tracy and her family had a birthday party for him last weekend. I unfortunately was not able to go 'cause I was out of town, but B was able to go and said what a fun, fun party it was and how cute it was. And one of the things that we kinda talked about too was just, like, this little Bravo and Cocktails, Cocktails and Gossip family that we've been building. Because if you'll remember, I came because I'm DM-ing B way back in the day saying like, "Let's build you a website."

And then Tracy, you know, we started the podcast, and then Tracy approached us, and, you know, she's, she works in media sales and said, "I can help you guys." And then we had Perry, who is our amazing writer on the site, who approached us and said, "I can help you guys." So one of the stories that we were talking about that didn't make it to the recording is just how we have really homegrown our team through you guys and through you guys listening. And so every once in a while we get resumes from you guys, and we do actually put them into a folder and save them. So we are always happy to hear from you guys, 'cause you never know when it might make sense for us to add some either new capability or new team member to the team.

So the other thing, unfortunately, 'cause I can't quite retell the story the same way that B would, because first of all, I don't have a New York accent, but this is her story. So the funny thing about Tracy joining our team is she and B actually have a couple mutual friends, one of which was one of B's kind of day one's good friends from childhood who also knows Tracy. I guess they were at the same wedding and didn't know each other then. So that's pretty much where the conversation picks up, where you're gonna hear it. And let me just apologize to you guys because we do go to pretty great lengths to make sure that this didn't, doesn't happen, and it just ended up being a little bit of a fluke.

So thanks for hanging in with us, and here is the rest of the conversation I went to prom with him. Okay, you guys? That's how tight we are. Tracy and I were both at him and his husband's wedding. So Tracy used to work with his husband, and when we were all youths and people would go out in the city after work, that's how she met my friend.

So hello to my favorite childhood friend, who is a cocktailer and listener. So I was at the party with him. It's a Tracy one-year-old party, so it was like we were in a bar. A fancy bar. It was beautiful, but you know what I mean.

We were partying. I did a, like for both of my kids' first birthdays, I did like a boozy, not boozy, but like it's more for the parents. Yes. So I did it, I focused it that way. My first kid's, we did like a taco kind of theme, I think.

Mm. And that- And margaritas and margaritas, and yeah. And cervezas. Yes. And then the second one we did like a brunch, like with booze.

Yeah. Mimosas. At a restaurant. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, not like hard liquor, but you know what I mean.

Like there, definitely, it's for parents. Like, there's no babies partying at these parties. I have had a healthy buzz on at all of my children's sacraments, and I'm not ashamed to say it. It is the Catholic way. It is the Catholic way.

I will say that I don't know what's like rage bait anymore, but somebody made a post and I'm scrolling, doom scrolling, I should've been asleep, and it said, "I find it pathetic when parents have alcohol at kids' birthday parties. It's your kid's birthday. You can't not have alcohol one day? And also you shouldn't drink in front of your kids ever." And you can imagine- That person is not a parent.

That person cannot be a parent. And you can imagine what the comment section looked like. I didn't write anything, I just like reading the back and forth. I do understand the people who are like, "I don't drink in front of my children." I get that.

But you also have to remember that all of us are people who used to go out after work and, and have active social lives, and then you have a baby and you're like- Right kind of like, I mean, everything, not everything stops, but everything changes, and being able to celebrate your kid's first birthday with your friends with some drinks responsibly is not- Of course does not feel like It's that outrageous to me. I'm not promoting getting full down drunk, but- Well, I'm, we were talking about this did I have a cooler with prosecco in it at my kids' Pump It Up bounce house birthday parties? I did, and I'm good with that, and the parents around me seemed to like it as well. I'm sure they do. Well, and I was just talking about this too because, with another parent whose kid went to a different private school, and at their private school, it was a non-d- like non- Denominational yeah, non-religious private school.

At theirs, like if there are kids around, they could never serve alcohol, have alcohol for the parents, and I just laugh because like- On campus? Like at a school dance? On like if they did like a, yeah, or like a fall carnival or something like that. Well, that's public schools in New York City too. You can't ever have any alcohol on premises.

Which makes it, that makes a lot of sense to me, but I am like, "That is not the Catholic way." The Catholic way, one of the probably the biggest fundraiser besides- Yes selling tickets for a fall carnival is the beer tent, and it's just kind of a cultural- Oh, I love the beer tent at the- It's a cultural thing- carnival I think. And I don't think there's necessarily a right way or a wrong way, although I really do think the person who wrote that post just does not have children. Well, it's also shame, shaming people. If you don't wanna ever drink in front of your children, like absolutely that is valid.

That is your child. That is your parenting, and if you don't want to hang out with people who do, that is your choice. But you can do that and not shame people who like have- Yeah a glass of wine at a birthday party. 100%, and yeah, I fully believe that is, it would be very strange if somebody were intoxica- that would be a problem. Of course. And I think parents would step up and kind of say, "Hey, let me drive you home."

So that's where the, like it's a very clear line. You know? I have never seen that situation transpire, and Lord knows- Oh we have all been to 1,000,001 kiddie parties. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, Tracy is such a good mom. I'm so jealous, and he is such a cute baby. Oh, he's so cute, so happy. Both of her boys- And I just- are adorable. Yeah.

I just, yes, both their boys are adorable. I just love the people that we seem to meet in our little corner of the internet. Okay, but guys, I hesitate to even bring this up because I would be so annoyed. People are annoyed at this. So annoyed.

And we're gonna have to, okay, you chat and then I'll chat- Yeah 'cause we're gonna have to find a time. ' Cause you clearly know what I'm talking about. Yes. I am still recovering from this week's Zoom because we had, I, I think the, as I said, the vaultiest of vaults Zooms this week. For those of you guys, if you're newer listeners, we do a monthly Zoom with our Cocktail Party members. We do not record them because we just can't.

It's like Vegas. Like, we just, we can't. And there's people who come on and they share things. Sometimes it's personal things. Sometimes it's crazy tea.

Well, how that started was, if you remember, the first Zoom we didn't record, and then people requested it. And we were, like, trying to figure it out, and then I, like, posted and said, "Oh, Amanda's gonna try to figure it out." And someone DM'd me and they were like, "I actually am planning on coming the next Zoom, and I was gonna share some tea that I'm not comfortable sharing if it's recorded, and you can never post it on your site." And I was like, "Okay, so we need a space where it's one night only. You hear it, you hear it.

You don't, you don't. It's part of, like, just the cocktailer way." And I get that we can't all make everything, but- Right we gotta do what we gotta do. We can't not have that tea heard. Right.

Especially when, like, somebody clinks in and is like, "I had a one-night stand with West." Yep. That was a fun one. Which literally happened, not this week. I mean, we have had friends or former friends of Bravolebrities or celebrities or people who have worked for celebrities who are no longer on NDA and like- Yes, those are good I- it's just one of those things.

And we're very shocked and flattered that we have such interesting people as cocktailers. And like I said, we also have had people who have shared very personal things, like people who have recently lost a husband or going through a divorce and that kind of thing. But- Laid off, all sorts. It runs the ga- Yeah like, we're a community. This is what- Yeah we always try to explain, which is I'm always like People ask a lot about it, and I'm like, "Try it.

Check it out." It's, and it's not for everybody. We get that. Right. There's no pressure.

You could just We are, we appreciate all the engagement, whether you just tune in with the ads, whether you just read the free site, we love it. We're here for it. We have plenty of good stuff. Shout out to Perry, by the way, who also was a cocktailer who works with us. She- Approached us she writes, yeah, she approached us.

She's a writer. Yeah. And she writes, like, amazing articles that, listen, we hire people who work in media. I just like to talk shit. I don't have I'm not a journalist.

I don't know any of this, but Perry is. Like- Yeah and Perry does the damn thing, and Perry's posts are all free on our website, and she goes into detail. She does these amazing, and I don't always link them to my stories, 'cause I am a little scared about them, the net worth. Yeah. I don't need Kathy Hilton DM-ing me or Martha Stewart, "Girl, first of all, I'm worth this amount.

Take this down." I mean, these people are rich. I don't need it. So check out bravoandcocktails.com, because the net worth, I- Yeah was so excited when Perry started doing them, because I often Google. I mean, you and I both do it, especially like- We're nosy.

We're nosy, but we're in the business. Like Erika Hammond, like how much are we talking? We know he's a billionaire, so those are fun. Yeah. But back to the Zoom piece of it, I get a lot of DMs, and people are like, "B, this is messed up.

We're cocktailers, but we live in different time zones." I mean, we have had Croatian cocktailers in the middle of the night, Italian, like- Australian. Yeah, Australian. We typically do, and I'm just gonna I live on the East Coast, so I typically do after dinner, weeknight, because I have polled it, and that's when the most people are available. Right.

We have done weekends and stuff, so I am going to, soon Amanda and I are gonna try to do maybe even a Sunday at noon or something like that to get some- Yeah people who haven't And that'll piss other people off. You can't win, but we're gonna try to make it more accessible to those of you where 6:00, 7:00 PM on a weeknight East Coast time doesn't work. Right. Well, we really do try, you guys, but you also have to remember we are both also mothers, maybe smothers. Oh.

We gotta talk about that. We do. But I mean, who also work, right? Yes. And so our schedules, we've gotta make it work for times that we can do as well.

But anyway, it was a very good one. We I'm sorry again, like I said, I, it must be annoying if you, especially some of the people, like shout out to Hillary, who's almost always on. Yes. She's like, "What did I miss?" I'm like, "Ugh, I can't tell you.

I can't tell you." Hopefully one of Yeah. Anyway. One more thing I wanted to say since we mentioned how many Like how everybody who works with Bravo & Cocktails was a cocktailer. A lot of you guys reach out.

We are not currently hireling- hiring, but always, listen, if there's something you do that you feel we need, tell us. DM me, email us, b@bravoandcocktails.com, amanda@bravoandcocktails.com. If we are not currently looking, we always keep everything on file, and so when we are hiring, we will reach out.

Yeah, we both have a folder that we keep- Yes just with resumes and that kind of thing. I know you wanted to talk about this. I wanna talk about it, too, the Cornell. And I don't wanna sound preachy, but I think it's important that we touch on it in light of the, should we call it atrocities, that took place at Cornell University. Let's teach our sons consent.

Let's teach our daughters consent. I sat with my almost 15-year-old son, and I read everything with him. About this news story? About this news story. Mm-hmm.

And we had a very long conversation about it. When my son was 10 years old, he was going to sleepaway camp, and I explained to him what consent was, and I put it in 10-year-old terms. Now, some people may say, and everyone's entitled to their opinion, that it's too young. I, myself, don't think so. I remember what it was like to be going into middle school.

I went to sleepaway camp at that age. People were kissing. So I don't know if my son kissed anyone when he was 11 or whatever it was. But what I do know is I explained to him that you ask. That's all the consent conversation needs to be at that age, right?

Right. But you don't, you don't do things without asking, and I just think that there isn't a woman I know, and I know we've all seen the memes and I've reposted 'em, but there isn't a woman I know that doesn't have a story. There isn't a woman I know that hasn't been nervous at some point in their life, that hasn't walked into a store or stood in CVS a little bit longer because they wanted to make sure that guy who was creeping them out was gone. Let's do better, just all of us, myself included. Yeah.

To not put the pressure on I mean, yes, our daughters have to be alert and they have to protect themselves, but all of our boys should have an understanding. Well, I couldn't agree more. I've actually had the consent chat with my son multiple times. But also specifically about if you do see a girl, 'cause I mean, my son is in high school. There's, you never know what you're gonna encounter, right?

And specifically, if that, if he sees a girl who is clearly out of it, that it's everyone's job to make sure that she's safe, including his, even if he doesn't know her, if she's nowhere near. Like, it's everyone's job. And I also just wanted to say, as parents, as a parent of both a boy and a girl- It's kind of shocking how the differences in the way that they see the world are already showing up. For example, like I had the same talk with my son and I told him about this story and he's like, "Mom," like, "I know we talked about, like why are you telling me this?" 'Cause he was legitimately horrified by the story, right? And his kind of feeling is, that wouldn't happen around me, right?

And then, but then my daughter, who is too young to have this conversation with and to have this, this level of conversation about consent with But she already has this, like, feeling that, like, there are things that are more dangerous for girls in the world than they are for boys or for men. For example, she, I don't know how she got this, I don't know if maybe she heard me kind of say this offhand, but you guys know what Waymos are, right? Like, the self-driving- Yes. They don't have them by me, but I see Kiki Monique uses them in LA. Yeah, and like, you see them in a lot of cities.

She has this idea already that Waymos are safer because they don't have drivers. That's I mean, yeah. It's like, it's Just the idea kinda brings me to tears, but then I think about this, and I think too about how I I mean, I've mentioned this here on the podcast, but I don't have a problem with saying it again. Like, I was roofied in college. Same.

And my male friends saw it and got me out of there, I'd like to say, by the way. Yeah. And in my case, it was my girlfriends, they got me out. We had just gone out, and it wasn't a thing where you've been- Same preparing before. It was my first drink.

Yeah, and it was- It's how I knew definitively that it was roofies. Because you know what, Amanda? We probably have been other times, and we didn't know because we blamed ourselves 'cause we said- 'Cause we- oh, we had a lot to drink. Yeah. And that is the shit.

So I have told my son this story. I have not told my daughter this story, 'cause I just I don't want her to go around being scared of the world, and I will tell her in a couple years. The conversation I will have with her is to listen to your intuition, kind of know, pay attention if something feels off. No matter what, stick with your friends. Watch out for them.

Don't Anyway, so I- I mean, and that was our, and I assume, I mean, our girls aren't there yet, but I know our mothers were like, "Stay together. Don't leave each other," all of those things, so. Right. And that always sounds, like, easier said than done, because then you have the friend who's like- It is easier "I wanna go home with this guy"- Oh my God and it's not. I got into- And you're like, just, yeah.

You I'm sure we've all been there, where we had fights with our friends 'cause they were intoxicated and they were in love, and we were like, "You just met him. If you guys are in love, you can talk about it on Sunday morning.

Dancing with the Stars: Ciara, Taylor Hanson and Ezra

We're leaving." And he will call you- Yeah and he will. That's the thing. They, if they want to, they will. And so it's just, we all, like- Yeah.

Okay, let's move on to some happier things. Speaking of my daughter, I always watch Dancing with the Stars with her. I have for the last few years. I really love watching 'cause we have kind of our favorite pros, and we, we notice things about the judges, and really like talking about who we think is, who's gonna win. I have to tell you, Sierra has been fun to watch because she's improved so much.

I think her first start was kind of shaky, but I think it was 'cause she was nervous. I just got the feeling that a lot of it was nerves, and then she's still there, and Dolores was there on the, in the audits, there watching and supporting her. It just warms my heart to see the way, especially the cast from The Traitors come out and support each other. Oh, I agree. I love it.

In a very rare Ciara move, opened up on her Instagram today about how it was nerves the first few weeks. She felt better on stage this week. I'll be honest, guys, I haven't been watching. I've been watching clips, but I haven't watched the whole thing. I always vote and watch Ciara.

So yes, I need to sit down and watch maybe this weekend if I have time. Waddle. I do too. I think what we do is we sit down- Yeah, you fast-forward, I need to and then we fast-forward. We sometimes even watch the little package before the dance, but we always watch the dance, and then we fast-forward.

We don't even listen to what the judges say unless we really liked the dance. Then we watch the scores, and then we fast-forward again because it's two hours long. No. So we don't have that kind of time. I don't.

I'm not that interested- It's a fun way to watch in a lot of their stories and stuff. I don't mean to sound mean, but- Yeah if they're Bravo people or reality stars or celebrities I'm personally interested in, yes. But- I like all of the, I mean, Taylor Hanson from the Hanson Brothers, he got voted off this week, and he just didn't give a lot of personality. I think that's part of why, 'cause he, his dance was pretty good. But there is this guy named Ezra who is an Olympian, a Paralympian, who has, I don't remember where, I think it's from his Upper thigh down has a prosthetic.

Oh. And the way that he moves is different, right? Because it has- Right because- I have to watch him and lear- watching him learn and how to work through it, and he is so elegant, and it's- 100%. That was like when we were watching- Oh, so- Selma Blair. Yes.

She has MS. It was just incredible to watch her. But we're gonna debunk some fake news regarding In the City that's been circulating.

Are Cameras Up on In the City? West and Amanda Batula Tea

So cameras are not officially up. I say officially because they can film pickups, okay? What I mean is there could be a random scene that they wanna get- Come to the house and see the baby right. Yeah. Things- Yeah yes.

Things like that I can confirm have started. However, cameras and production is not fully up for In the City. So there was some video circulating of Gavin being mic'd. I can confirm that was something for Summer House. So we know that Gavin was out east a lot.

He hangs with them In the City, so we are gonna have this natural crossover. So that was that. In the City officially picks up second week of October. And if you wanna So, cocktailers, that was all shared earlier this week in Cocktail Party. Mm-hmm.

And some more stuff that was shared. Okay. So first we have cameras are not up yet In the City. There's no confirmation that West is filming. Anyone saying either of these things is misinformed.

That was from one source. Another source said cameras are up on In the City in a couple weeks, so not yet. The cast is not officially finalized. West remains a question mark as they are still deciding what Amanda's involvement will look like. I mean, here's what we know for sure.

Lindsay's back. Kyle's back. Gavin's back. Whitney, Kenny back. Yvonne, Georgina back.

These are all things cocktailers know. Lexi and Andrea, they welcomed their baby in California. They are bicoastal. Their careers dictate where they are because they're models and reality stars. So them being in California doesn't tell me that they're not back, but I don't have a confirmation that they're back full time.

I can't imagine we don't see them and we don't see their beautiful baby, but I don't have a confirmation they're back full time. Now, with Amanda, the exact words that were used was they're deciding what her involvement will look like. Important to note, today Bravo posted some fluffy article on their site about West and Amanda. It may have been about Yankees, but one of you guys sent it to me. They're like, "They just posted this today."

West did this Netflix show, which you're like, "Hmm, does that mean he's out on Bravo?" But Bravo would not post anything about West if he was fully out. So a simple clue after so many years of, like, getting the tea and putting the puzzles together, that tells me, and I'm not saying Amanda or West will be full-time, but that tells me that the odds that we see them are likely, because why else would they It's not like something big happened where obviously they would report on it, right? Like a breakup- Right or a pregnancy or an engagement. It's like little fluff piece that, yeah- It was a fluff piece- You don't, you don't really have to look into too many to keep them relevant.

Yeah. And why would a network wanna keep people they're not planning on employing relevant? And you may say, "Oh, well, they'll still have Amanda," so it would've been a fluff piece on Amanda, but it was the both of them. Yeah. Well, we did get that exclusive that they were at the Yankees games.

I know you were getting a lot of DMs wondering if Amanda was there. We also got the exclusive that they were in a suite, and somebody who was in the suite with them shared this email. It said, "Saw the intel that a follower sent. My friend was in the suite with West and Amanda at the Yankees game. Nothing earth-shattering, but I know Bravo fans always want to know if these two are still together.

My friend isn't a Bravo fan, but knew who they were because of all the media coverage. They said they were hanging with their group of friends. They seemed happy and like a couple. My friend didn't eavesdrop on them. I wish they would have, but yeah, they were together in the suite with friends."

So we get the tea, and of course the comments are immediately, "Where's the picture?" Guys, I want a picture too, but whoever this was, it was a friend of a friend's husband in the suite, and the husband was unwilling. And I gotta tell you, I mean, now that with Bravo & Cocktails, I think my husband would, but ah, there's a question mark there. He would be like, "I don't wanna get caught taking a picture and have him walk over to me and have to deal with that- Right and beat, and beat up West." That would be my, that would be my husband's reaction, 'cause he would just pop him.

No, I'm kidding. He would. We're adults. No. Yeah, no, but depends how many beers were consumed.

But okay, so first of all, Kyle Cooke, I mean- The silly goosery of The Cookster reshared it to his own Instagram account. So when he did that- Well, the post says, that you put up, it says, "West and Amanda are still together," and then it has the tea. So and it's in big- it's a big headline. And so I'm looking at this as- Maybe he's sick of people asking him, and that's why he did it I don't know. I thought it was so funny.

I even texted- I knew it was late, but I was like, "Oh, I have to text you this." And first thing in the morning I'm like, "Oh my God, it's still there. He's hasn't taken it down yet." Right. 'Cause I assumed it was an accident. And then when it was- Yeah still there this morning and everybody was tagging him in the comments of our post, I was like, "Okay, he knows, and for whatever reason, he wants to join in on the fun."

You gotta love him. I wanna say something else though that I did not pick up on, because this is like, I'm no genius. You guys tell me all stuff that then I'm like, "Oh my God, wait a minute. That's true." So it- West confirmed, literally we posted it, in a few minutes or an hour, whatever, later, he posted a video of Amanda, and she was doing a little twerk.

Thought nothing of it. Bunch of you guys commented on the post and DM'd me saying the twerk she was doing was the same as what Ciara was did on Dancing With The Stars. And you know that Amanda is like the subliminal queen. So I polled it, and about 80% of you either think she was for sure mimicking her or maybe was mimicking her. So 80% think that was the case.

Which these reality stars wanna stay relevant, but like- That's an ick for me. Guys, keep an eye on this. I saw it. I don't know if I, I don't know if I agree with that. I really hope that's not true.

But I was just gonna say, keep an eye on this space because if they keep posting each other, then I think that's gonna be all the confirmation we need without actually saying we're gonna be back on. Right. I think this. So we talked about this in the Zoom. This is something I can share from the Zoom.

I could see In The City kind of showing West and Amanda at the beginning of the season just to kind of wrap things up, put a bow on them, send them off into the sunset together, because I don't really see this happening where they would be regulars on the, In The City where they're going on cast trips and they're doing these big group event kind of things, because I think it would take all the air out of the room every time they're with- Right the rest of this cast. I see them- Or who knows, maybe they even show them with their group of friends and they kind of- Right you could do different things. I could see them being, I was gonna say, I could see them being on their own show or doing something like that, 'cause I think the cool thing about this, the show is that the cast is all really interesting on their own, and they- Mm-hmm don't really need, they don't need that. And I really do think it would really kind of suffocate the show's ability to really kind of highlight the other castmates' stories. I hear that.

And look at what happened the last season of Vanderpump Rules. It killed the show. It killed it. They kind of tried to force everything and make it work, and it just killed the show. Listen, the sources- I don't know, maybe- that know everything are telling us they are still figuring out the cast.

They are still figuring out in what capacity they involve Amanda. So camera's up October, somewhere around October 10th, 12th. All right, let's see. I- do I think we're gonna get stuff to us before that? Of course we will.

And again, that fluff piece on Bravo today, while it's a little something, it's very telling. We know how B- Bravo behaves when they decide they're done with somebody. They're not doing fluff pieces on Brandi Glanville. They are not. You know?

Like- Or Bethenny Frankel. Or Leah McSweeney. Like- Yeah so the other thing is I really thought they would throw West on Traitors, and the fact that they're still promoting him in the ways that they are on their socials with these fluff pieces tell me that Listen, Lindsay was supposed to do Traitors too. It's too close to filming. So we know Craig is doing Traitors, and we also know that Craig is slated to be in Charleston on October 22nd.

But In The City is picking up the second week of October, and when the final decisions were made, they probably didn't have the exact date. They just had October, so they couldn't put any of them on it. Does that make sense? Yeah. I don't know.

I kept wondering if Lindsay and NeNe, both of them were names that we were hearing a lot, and this isn't just from us, you and I just sitting around. This is from people who know. Mm-hmm. I kept wondering if, are they gonna be a secret traitor? Are they coming on later?

Because just the timing seemed a little- Yeah suspicious, especially with Lindsay saying she was gonna be out of town and couldn't watch Sarah dance at Dancing With the Stars after the first week. That, that was a little- Yeah confirmation in my head, but we'll see. I don't know. I know nothing about that, guys. I'm not I'm just I keep thinking that in my head because of just enough of the clues, it really just seemed, and what we had been told, it really did seem like she was gonna be on it, but- Right we'll see.

Next Gen Charlie and Georgia, and the RHOSLC Whitney and Justin Rumors

Okay, let's go to Next Gen just because we got a little email in our inbox that we wanna share with you guys. So the email is from More Than Friends. Spill it to bravococktails.com. All of the tension between Charlie and Georgia, yep, they used to hook up. Shouldn't be shocking since she lived with him for a while, but they'd never come out and said it.

They weren't dating. It was very down low. When Charlie says she's obsessed with him, he's hinting at this. I wonder if it finally gets revealed in season three. When I got this email, I was like This makes so much sense.

Same. Of course Charlie is gonna say, "She's obsessed with me," but he's also I'm kind of surprised he hasn't done his toxic thing he does, which is go, "Oh yeah, 'cause you f***ed me and you are obsessed with me." I am kind of surprised, but I don't know why I know why Georgia wouldn't say it, right? 'Cause- Right it was probably similar to Ariana where it's like we all know. You. If we haven't Right.

If we haven't been there ourselves, we have friends who've been there where you're like, "Don't tell me you hooked up with him," and they're like, "Please don't tell anybody. I just don't wanna " Charlie is the guy that is toxic, but there's a draw there obviously. Interested to see if it ever comes out. Right.

Oh, okay. So we got another email that, I mean, I think it's pretty clearly implying it's about Whitney. From healing journey. Subject, the streets are talking. People are speculating as to whether this housewife and her husband are really separated.

They are, and they have been since February. Remember the rumor that they had to sign ironclad NDAs to avoid leaks? It's true. It's why her cast hasn't leaked that she cheated. So by the way, Amanda- Yes you were absolutely correct.

You said Whitney and Justin were nesting, and I was like, "No." I thought I heard she was moving everything to the guest bedroom, but you're right. So they're keeping the family home, and then they have an apartment, and they will switch off who stays in the home with the kids, and then they'll go back and forth. I've heard from a couple of other people they are legitimately separated. Somebody else said the February date as well.

Mm-hmm. I mean, as our girl, and we always send our best to our girl Wendy Williams, said, "How you get him is how you keep him." And Justin left his marriage for Whitney. Whitney left her first marriage for Justin. So do I think it's absolutely plausible that she cheated?

Yes. A source said that Where are you? Oh, there you are. I don't know, sometimes- Well, we've been hearing So we've had a couple of sources that have said yes, they really are separated, but then we've been hearing some rumors, not from necessarily from sources because- Those are different, but we'll say the streets of Salt Lake City, that the rumor is that not only did she cheat, but this was multiple times, I guess, and in maybe a repeated situation, and it was with somebody who is not on the show, but that would be familiar to people who watch the show. Yeah.

That's all I wanna say without confirmation. You guys are smart, so. Right. I expect a lot of DMs.

RHOSLC Trolley Fight: Whitney, Heather, Bronwyn and Ashley Quai

I have been so excited to talk to you about last night's episode because- Me I'm really curious- It's really good, by the way I mean, it's so good. But I am so curious to hear what you have to say about Quai. But let's talk just first a little bit about her, because I'm curious to hear your thoughts. I would like to first zone in on Quai rimming the toilet with her husband's toothbrush. Okay, first Angie telling Mary was, number one, it was nice because in that moment Mary forgot about all of her problems 'cause she was in a state of shock.

Although it was absolutely disgusting conversation, it was comic relief really and truly for us to hear. But is this common? I've heard it jokingly said, I'm gonna wipe- I don't know. I've heard this. But do people do this?

Because when Angie said somebody could do that in your hotel room, like the cleaning staff, I swear Amanda, I was like, "Okay, I'm buying a pack of toothbrushes, I don't care, 99 cents each, whatever," and I'm literally using opening a sealed one every day and then throwing it out. Because oh my God. Well, I mean, first of all, thanks for giving people the idea, Angie. Yeah. I was bugging out.

I was like, "Oh my God. Ew." I will say this. I don't think it's a thing, but I will say that a long time ago, maybe, I don't know, 10 years ago at least, no maybe 15, I had a few things stolen from a hotel room and I didn't realize it until I got back home because we were at a wedding, I was like a little hungover packing to leave the next day. This was a very nice hotel, so I want to really, I really wanna preface this with that because I was honestly so shocked.

Just the kind of hotel you wouldn't think this would happen. I had a pair of Tory Burch shoes, I had a perfume, and then a couple of the things in my makeup were taken. And I called the hotel later and they weren't, they were not great about it, and it was really strange to me 'cause I felt very gaslit- Air them out. What hotel? I won't say.

I'm not gonna say. But very, very, very nice hotel. I'll just put it at that. So now even if it's a shorter stay, we'll say three days or less, I don't let housekeeping come into the room period. But I like so much when I come back and it's straightened up I agree, but then if you've ever had stuff stolen from your room, it is like- I never have.

That's wild very violating feeling. And so that's where I'm like, hmm, the toothbrush thing, maybe hide it somewhere in your bag just in case. And I do always tip, I do always tip housekeeping, 'cause I think that's- Yes I think what Angie said is important. And I tip daily. After the first day, I leave a tip.

You know that I'm tipping, so don't take my Tory Burch flip-flops. Right. Exactly. Okay, so I do wanna talk about this trolley of the fight, and this is where I'm very curious to get your opinion. Whitney and Quai had been very close before Quai came on the show.

Close enough that it seemed like they were gonna be strong allies. They'd been through a lot together. Quai really felt like Whitney was gonna be there with her. Whitney publicly said she was excited to have her on. Well, Whitney had first told Angie that story about the toothbrush weeks before.

Then Angie comes out and tells Heather and Bronwyn. The four of them, including So Bronwyn, Heather, Angie, and- Bronwyn, Whitney Whitney. The one doing the telling. The one doing the telling. So they have a little kiki in Bronwyn's room before they go out for the St.

Patrick's Day fiesta, and Whitney tells Angie and Heather that Quai had been talking about them, and then, quote-unquote, "repeats" the story and there's a lot of details wrong. Here's my question for you. Do you think Quai, when they're on the f- trolley and then they, like, all hell broke- breaks loose because Quai calls Whitney out, and then they kind of all start kinda yelling at each other. Do you think she was too aggressive in telling Bronwyn to shut the f*** up on the trolley? 'Cause I did not. I actually felt for her.

And you guys know I like Bronwyn, but I thought Bronwyn was way out of line with the way that she flip-flopped, as Andy put it last night. You can really see the moment that Quai realizes, like, "This is my, somebody who's supposed to be my close friend, and they've gone and talked all about my, me with all of these people behind my back." I Yes, could Quai have been calmer? Sure. But imagine the pressure of being new on the show, like, new on the group, new to being on camera, finding this out, and kind of let, and it all kind of hits at the same time.

What did you think? Okay, first I wanna go back a little bit because when they show the recap, you watch Angie say, "You weren't there. You shouldn't address this," or something like that, 'cause the caption is there. And then you saw Quai respond, "I can be aggressive." So Quai heard aggressive.

But in that moment with all the chaos of everybody arguing, that wasn't picked up Now, when Quai was, I'm just gonna call her Ashley 'cause, when Ashley was retail- whatever her name is, was retelling it to Whitney and Bronwyn may have also heard aggressive because when Ashley, Quai, Quai, whatever it is, repeated it. Okay, so that could be innocent. So I don't wanna blame Bronwyn because Angie only said addressed it. So Angie is It's a case, honestly, of people mishearing and things getting convoluted. Angie wasn't wrong in what she said, which was, and we know that Angie can be, like, firm and aggressive, but in this case she was like, "Listen, you weren't here.

You don't have to address it." Right. Quai heard, I've said her name 14 different times, guys, I know. It's like why. It's like why.

Oh, Quai. Remember why. Quai. So Quai. Quai why.

Quai heard aggressive, and we know that 'cause she said, "I can be aggressive." Angie didn't address it in that moment 'cause, again, it was chaos. So I think that Quai, we all know how this works. Welcome to Housewives, Quai, was told by production, "Okay, whatever you didn't like, name it at this lunch that you're meeting Bronwyn and Whitney for." Also, when Whitney relayed it, Whitney and Bronwyn relayed it to Angie and Whitney They didn't make it sound nearly as bad as how Heather So Whitney relayed it to Heather and Angie.

Right. Heather retelling it on the trolley, in my opinion, sensationalized what Whitney told her. I am no Whitney fan, you all know that. But Whitney had a responsibility, and she says, "No, she liked you. She just thought it was, like, diabolical."

And again, the real word she said was diablo. But that's- She just thought it was crazy how you were to Whitney. But I also wanna say- I mean, to Meredith. Mm-hmm. But I also wanna say, at the lunch, either Bronwyn or Whitney, I think Whitney, said to Quai, "Listen, I know Heather acted crazy with Meredith, but there's a long history there, and there's reason why it got that intense."

Right. So I feel like a lot was lost in communication amongst them all. I don't think Quai said anything that terrible. She gave, which I'm sure she was asked by production, and obviously then Whitney was like, "What'd you think?" She couldn't just say, "I love them all.

Everything's great," 'cause then she wouldn't be cast, and she'd get no screen time. Right. So she gave a little something. Whitney and Bronwyn went back and repeated that little something, but not in this terrible, malicious way. Like they said to Heather, "No, no, no.

She thought it was a little crazy what you did, but she said you were really nice to her, and she likes you." Heather took that, and Heather went balls to the wall. So again, I think it was Heather making stuff bigger, sensationalizing, self-producing. Now, I know she's on your Mount Rushmore now. But that's part of the job to get on the Mount Rushmore.

While I may not like it, and because, like, we watch so closely, we saw all of this- Right like, it makes the show more interesting, right? Because now, regardless of how we got here, Lisa and Meredith are recruiting Quai. Whitney is out on her ass. It's her best friend's sister-in-law who's deceased. Her best friend's deceased.

Right. And she says, "My brother's gonna be so mad at you." She's very close with the brother, Whitney. So- I feel like Heather helped engineer this so that it became this big blowout thing. With that said, Whitney, listen, would she like it to be that she could have a great season and she's asked back next season and her and Quai stay tight and good friends?

Yes. But at the end of the day, Whitney's loyalty, like Tamra Judge, like Lindsay Hubbard, like many before hers, loyalty is to the show. Yeah. So that's where I'm at. And Quai can calm down with her doe in the woods like she Listen, this is Housewives, baby.

You said it, here we go. Yeah. I don't know. I felt bad for Quai just because she's like, "Hold on a second, like I didn't actually say these things. I don't even know what that word means."

And sorry to interrupt you, but what boggled me was why Whitney, and this is why I think Whitney was just okay with the pot being stirred and kind of gave Heather the go-ahead, 'cause Whitney could have stopped it and could have been like, "Heather, I told you she liked you. I just said she thought Meredith was acting wild." Right. And she didn't. Whitney- She didn't correct it should have- She let it go shut it She should have at least tried to really shut it down with everybody, but you could just tell she was almost like, "Oh gosh."

I don't know. I think too she could have just said, "Everybody stop." I think I messed some stuff up. I need to have a quiet word with Quai once we get off the trolley. But again, this is Housewives.

To your point, the volatility is what makes it fun and interesting. And now we know, as we said, stuff always goes down on the Sprinter vans. Yeah. And in this case, it didn't. It was on a trolley.

And the city had stuff go on in the trolley too. Remember when they were doing the trash? Oh, that's true. And then they went after Danielle breaking up a marriage. That's true.

Smother Mothers: Meredith, Seth and Life360

Just to touch on, because I feel like we're pretty hard on Meredith, I like, I liked her scene with Seth. I feel like she's such a different person in her scenes with her family than with the ladies. I would agree. Like she- she's more natural, she's funny, she's interesting. And with the women, she just becomes like stone wall.

And she takes a little ribbing from Seth, but like she takes it well. Right. Because otherwise she just seems like the girl can't take a joke. She's so serious all the time. But Seth has that kind of that And obviously it's her husband, but he has such a way about him.

Yes. I think it's really hard not to like him. He's very disarming. Yeah. I think, so the whole like smother thing, I think he delivered his point well in a way that Meredith got it, and I don't think she got offended. 'Cause I do agree, she seems a little smothery.

I did then laugh out loud, 'cause we go from that conversation to she's in the hotel room and she's on a conference call with her kids, and they all have that monotone right there. The voice drives me nuts. And the caviar, and there's a call, and then like I'm like, I would fall asleep if people in my life talked like that. I wouldn't be able to do business with them. They'd be fired.

Thanks, I'm so excited to have your business. Yeah, I don't even know what that is. I don't. Is it just like rich people talk? I don't know.

I don't know. I don't know. I do fear I'll be a smother mother when my kids are older. But like I get And I think that was why I liked her conversation with Seth, because like who wouldn't try to If your kids, they get their education and you have a business that they can help you run, or I think in Meredith's case, to some end, you have the means to start a business that they can run, like Brooke's clothing line, her caviar. I don't know.

Is it I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I mean, I've never been in the position to have that offered to me by my parents. Right. I don't know that I'll be in the position to offer that to my children, but I know that if I could, I would Right. So.

Right. Yeah, I don't know. I really don't think of myself as a smother, but just wait until, I mean, when your kids start- No, but they do continue to need direction. Yeah. And this is not a knock to Seth, 'cause I think he's a great dad.

My husband is a great dad. But I recently had a conversation with a family member, I won't even name who it is, in case, you never know who's listening. Yeah. But her kids are younger than mine, and I said, "Listen, at the end of the day, we could have the best fathers," and again, this is my experience, so I don't wanna speak for everybody. But what I find, and I have a partner, we split things, it is not all on me, okay?

Mm-hmm. With that said, I feel like the mother carries the invisible load. And when my kids were little, I didn't have my husband on the elementary school apps and the sports apps. And then there was a point where I would complain, and he would be like, "Put me on." So now he's on all of them, but in my mind, and again, this isn't action-based, I carry it.

I'm the one worrying about it. So I just- And you're the one who they're coming to if they're like, they need deodorant and socks. Right. So that's, I mean, I get it. I get it.

I was gonna say though too, like, it is a weird thing when your kids start to get older, and then they start to get more independent. And I never thought I was a smother until I got Life360. Oh, yes. And then I can just see and be like, "Huh," like, "what are you doing at that place? I thought you were supposed to be at that place."

Or with open campuses for lunch, "I thought you were meeting with your teacher today. I thought you weren't going out for lunch," and like things like that, and I'm like- Oh, no, New York doesn't have no open campus for lunch. I, but like I am, I can be definitely a little bit of a smother, because every time my kid makes a move, I get a notification. So it's almost encouraging me- Which- to hover I'm not sure how healthy that is for any of us, but then the other hand, I wouldn't be able to tolerate not doing it, 'cause I'm constantly checking myself. Right.

Heather, Bronwyn and Todd: Shade and a First Marriage

Back to Heather. I mean- Mm-hmm I talk a lot of smack about Heather, but- like I said, she really, I can see why she's on your Mount Rushmore, because she gets stuff going. Yes. So she says in her confessional, "I feel bad for Todd. I mean, he's a cretin, but you marry him, you take all his money, you leave him for a model.

I mean, make no mistake, I'm on Bronwyn's side, but I feel bad for Todd." And I am like, you shady bitch. Because- I'm sorry, but she does give killer shade, and you know this is gonna burn Bronwyn when she sees it. But I can't disagree with what she said, and I also would like to point out, and I like Bronwyn, I think she's a fantastic housewife, but she completely left out her first husband when she did the whole recap of her living in San Francisco. She made it like she was a single mother, and then at seven years old she met Todd.

Right. In between that, most of We had posted about it before it was public in Cocktail Party, and then it came out. I think the guy spoke to somebody at some point. She had another husband, and for, I don't know, five years in between. And I'm not saying she left him for Todd, but they split and she was with Todd immediately after.

She is very smart. The way that she words things- Yes she's very careful, and she words things very carefully. Because she didn't say, "No, I didn't have I wasn't married." Omission isn't lying, but she wasn't- Yeah. No.

She was like, "Yeah, it was just me and, it was just me and " Why am I forgetting her daughter's name? For a long time. And I was like, "Oh, interesting. Yeah."

But I don't blame her. The ex sounds like a pud. I was really taken aback, and not shocked, but just again, she looked so beautiful in those old I mean, she is still gorgeous. Like- Yes she is just a gorgeous person. I mean, who I felt- And she's so smart, and she's, there's something so incredibly interesting about her.

Right. And like I said- I really like her she's very good with her words. I do, too. But- But I have to ask an honest question. What?

And I think probably when I ask this, half of the listeners will be like, "Obviously, we've all thought this from the beginning." I felt when Bronwyn first came on the show And maybe she's just very convincing. I felt that she really loved Todd, and then the last couple years things got strained. Do we think that Heather's cold take of, "You married him 'cause he was rich, he didn't sign a pre-nup," and she even says in an upcoming clip, I forget who asked her, probably Heather, "Do you think he'll screw you in the divorce?" And she goes, "No.

Todd's too good." Do you think she was like, "All right, you know what? I'm on Housewives," which she may or may not have gotten without Todd's wealth, right? I don't know. If she hadn't married him, she may have married somebody else wealthy and interesting, or she may have become wealthy and interesting in her own right because- Right she's a star.

I'm not, but- Right so she married him for the money, and then got on Housewives, used them long enough to secure her spot, and once she became a sensation, dropped him like a hot potato and is frolicking with models. I think that's an overly simplistic view. I think, do I think he was more attractive to her because of his money? Yes. Do I think she really loved him?

Absolutely, yes. Do we think that maybe things were a little closer, do I think that maybe things were a little closer to the end of their marriage than she led on when she started on the show? Probably. It's a good way to put it. I also think she put her daughter first, and she felt like this is a stable, healthy environment for Gwen.

Yeah. And I want her to grow up and have access to things, which Todd provided. And then once Gwen was out of that, I know she's back in the house. She's 18, 19 years old. She can maintain a relationship with Todd.

Bronwyn doesn't need to be married to him for her to do that any longer. Right. And I mean, he wasn't even around that much. I don't know. I just think, yeah, I agree.

Very, very shady of Heather to say, 'cause I, I wanna just come out and say it, guys. Don't forget, Todd was allegedly unfaithful to Bronwyn. Correct. You're right. And he was so condescending to her on camera, which always makes us think it's probably worse when they're off camera.

And once they officially separated, she can do what she wants. And every state is different when it comes to family law and divorce, but in a lot of states you have to continue the lifestyle that you had during the marriage, during the separation with spending, or it can be considered financial abuse. And so does it feel a little bit cruel to be out and so publicly gallivanting? Would I do that? Absolutely not.

But was she technically allowed to? Yes. Yeah. No, I think those are all fair points. But yeah, Heather was shady.

And of course, members also get to join us on our monthly live Cocktail Party Zoom, where we talk about the latest tea and even share tea that's just too hot to put in writing. Last, but maybe best, our members get access to the Cocktail Party Discord, where you can chat with Amanda, me, and all of the other Cocktailers as well. There are always some great convos and hilarious comments happening in Discord. Thank you guys so much for listening. We appreciate you.

About Amanda

Amanda is a co-founder of Bravo and Cocktails and co-hosts the Cocktails and Gossip podcast with B, the Prosecco Princess. With a long career in marketing and advertising — and an even longer one as a reality TV fan — Amanda has been hooked since the genre began with The Real World. She grew up devouring blogs like The Awful Truth on E! and Perez Hilton, and treating herself to People and Us Weekly at the checkout line. These days, you can find her cheering on her kids from the sidelines, traveling, checking out new restaurants, and of course, watching TV with her husband. Amanda is also the person behind the scenes at Cocktail Party — if you have questions about the site or your membership, feel free to send her a note at amanda@bravoandcocktails.com.
