Things just got even messier for the future of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
Taylor Frankie Paul appeared to signal that she’s walking away from the Hulu reality show in a lengthy Instagram statement on September 21, just one week after Mikayla Matthews announced her own shocking exit.
Taylor, 32, said she appreciated the networks that supported her and gave her the opportunity to return, but indicated she no longer wanted to continue under the current circumstances.
“My gratitude goes to all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return,” Taylor wrote, seemingly referring to Hulu’s invitation to return for season 6. “However, I don’t desire to move forward like this.”
Taylor also claimed that “almost the entire cast” had been “going at” her and described what she had experienced from her castmates as “bullying.”
Taylor Frankie Paul Says She’s ‘Relieved to Be Out’
Taylor ended her statement with an even stronger indication that she was ready to leave the show behind.
“It’s a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue, because I’ve almost convinced myself I’m deserving of all this pain and to a certain degree absolutely this is consequences [sic] of my actions,” she wrote. “My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough…I’m just relieved to be out.”
Taylor’s statement follows a major shakeup among the “Mormon Wives” cast.
Mikayla announced that she was leaving the show shortly after season 5 premiered. She later said that learning Taylor would return played a role in her decision.
Mayci Neeley and Layla Taylor have also raised questions about whether they will continue with the series following season 6, meaning the Hulu hit could be facing an even bigger cast change.
Taylor Frankie Paul & Mikayla Matthews’ Feud Escalated Before Their Exit Statements
Tension between Taylor and Mikayla had been building for months before their latest announcements.
In July, Mikayla accused Taylor of “weaponizing and manipulating” her social media followers to maintain power. The two continued to clash publicly in the months that followed.
Season 5 also covered a difficult period in Taylor’s personal life, including events surrounding a domestic violence investigation involving Taylor and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Hulu paused production in March 2026 amid the police investigations before the cast later returned to film confessionals for the five-episode season.
As Bravo & Cocktails previously reported, the “Mormon Wives” cast has faced growing uncertainty about who will return. Taylor’s latest statement now raises another major question about what the cast will look like after season 6.
Neither Taylor’s post nor Hulu has officially confirmed her departure from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

While I feel bad for Taylor’s situation and mental health, she hasn’t once held herself accountable for anything. Everything is always an “I’m sorry, but…”
In the words of Heather Dubrow- if everyone is telling you your dead, it’s time to lie down.
