Salley Carson is getting candid about her complicated feelings for Austen Kroll — and it sounds like jealousy may be getting in the way.
The “Southern Charm” star opened up about Austen during the September 16 episode of “Sex Unlocked,” her shared podcast with Lala Kent. After months of speculation about Salley’s love life, including her flirty relationship with “Summer House” star Kyle Cooke and a mystery man she appeared to soft-launch on Instagram, Salley admitted there is something different about Austen.
“My soul is the happiest when I’m with him. It’s just easy,” Salley said.
Salley also confirmed that she and Austen have crossed the line beyond friendship, although she downplayed what happened.
The reality star said they hooked up “once,” before adding, “But that one didn’t count.”
Salley Carson Admits She Gets Jealous Over Austen Kroll’s Other Women
Salley said Austen sometimes connects with other women and even makes out with them in front of her. Although the two aren’t in a committed relationship, she admitted seeing him with other women can still bother her.
The jealousy apparently goes both ways.
According to Salley, Austen has also gotten jealous over men she has been involved with.
“That’s the problem,” she said.
Her latest comments come weeks after she spoke about Austen’s future during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Page Six Radio.” Salley said she believes Austen could eventually be ready for marriage and children, even if she doesn’t think he’s reached that point yet.
“I feel like he doesn’t see it, but I see it for him. I just think, you know, I look at him, and I’ve said it before. I said it on the reunion. I think he’s going to make an incredible dad, and I think he’s going to be a really fun dad, and he’s going to be a great husband. He just has to get there. He’s not there yet,” she said.
Salley Carson Says She & Kyle Cooke ‘Never Dated’
Salley has also cleared up the speculation surrounding Kyle after the pair sparked romance rumors.
During her appearance, Salley said she and Kyle “see each other a lot,” but described them as friends who are “sometimes flirty.”
She also made it clear that she wasn’t expecting exclusivity from him.
“If he wants to call me out for guys, I’ll look at him like he’s crazy ‘cause I’m like, ‘I was with you the weekend of Fourth of July, and you left with a girl the day after?’ And I’m not mad about it, you know? He’s doing his thing,” Salley explained.
As Bravo and Cocktails previously reported, “Southern Charm” season 12 will premiere on Bravo in November.
