Stassi Schroeder wasn’t prepared for who would show up beside her during a recent family day at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The “House of Stassi” star revealed on her “STASSI with Tay” podcast that she unexpectedly found herself next to members of “The Valley” cast — and apparently, seeing them caught her completely off guard.
“Literally the other day, I was at the Beverly Hills Hotel with my family. I had family in town. They were staying there, and they got a cabana. The cast of ‘The Valley’ walked in,” Stassi recalled. “They were in the cabana right next to me.”
A fan account that shared the podcast clip noted that Brittany Cartwright, Janet Caperna, Lala Kent and Michelle Saniei had recently posted from the Beverly Hills Hotel. However, Stassi wouldn’t reveal exactly who she encountered.
“The shock on my face … I couldn’t hide it,” she admitted. “I’m not going to name anyone’s names. I’ve already said too much.”
Stassi Schroeder Says ‘Thank God’ She Had Sunglasses On
Despite her surprise, Stassi said she did acknowledge the group.
“I said hello, I was like, ‘Hi,'” she recalled. “I had my McCarthy salad. Thank God I had my sunglasses on. Normally, I don’t. Normally, I’m like not a sunglass girl. For some reason, it was very sunny that day. Thank God for that.”
Being seated so close to the mystery “Valley” cast members also apparently changed Stassi’s drink order.
According to Stassi, the encounter made her want “more wine.”
“I said hi, but that was it,” she explained.
Stassi is no stranger to unexpectedly encountering people from her reality TV past. She noted that she continues to cross paths with former “Vanderpump Rules” cast members.
“I run into people from my cast [on] ‘Vanderpump Rules’ and all that stuff all the time,” she said. “You know, Scheana comes up in conversation randomly all the time.”
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Admits She Feels ‘Guilty’ About Scheana Shay Comments
Stassi and Scheana Shay’s complicated history goes back years to their time together on “Vanderpump Rules.” More recently, Scheana has also become a topic of conversation on both “Vanderpump Villa” and Stassi’s new series.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Page Six Radio,” Stassi explained why she and Scheana frequently clashed.
“Our issue with Scheana on ‘Vanderpump Rules’ was always that she would meddle off-camera,” Stassi said. “And so we always felt like you’re not, like while you are giving so much of yourself, you’re kind of (expletive) up by doing things off camera or texting somebody something instead of actually like having that conversation. But I think she’s a fantastic reality star.”
Stassi added, “I never passed up a Scheana scene.”
Despite their history, Stassi admitted she felt bad about how often Scheana has been mentioned on her recent shows.
“You know what? I feel really bad. I feel bad about this one. It’s like she caught strays on ‘Vanderpump Villa’ and then like episode one, I had asked too, I was like, ‘Should we just like edit this out? Like Scheana, I want to give her a break,'” she explained.
Stassi said producers ultimately kept the references because they were relevant to other storylines.
“But I feel guilty about it,” she added. “I do because I appreciate Scheana’s hustle. I respect it. I respect it.”
That respect doesn’t necessarily mean Stassi wants an on-camera reunion. When asked if she would welcome Scheana onto “House of Stassi,” her answer was simply, “No.”
“House of Stassi” season 1 is now streaming on Hulu.

I wonder what happened to her and Lala. They were pretty close for a little bit. They seemed to be a good pair.
I think Lala chose her friendship with Scheana over spending time with Stassi and they just naturally drifted. I don’t think they had a big falling out. It’s sad now Lala has no friendship with Katie, Stassi, or Scheana now.
