Stassi Schroeder isn’t holding back when it comes to her former “Vanderpump Rules” castmates.
During a July 31 interview with “It Girl,” the reality star revealed which former co-star she considers the least authentic, shared who she still keeps in touch with, and weighed in on Jax Taylor’s headline-making romance with publicist Lori Krebs.
Schroeder also explained why she never joined “The Valley,” reflected on filming her own series, “House of Stassi,” and addressed one of the biggest misconceptions fans have about her.
Stassi Schroeder Says Tom Sandoval Was Always the ‘Least Authentic’
When asked which former “Vanderpump Rules” cast member felt the least authentic, Stassi didn’t hesitate.
“Tom Sandoval [is the least authentic], and I always knew it. No one would listen, and here we are. He’s throwing old men in fire pits,” she said, referencing Sandoval’s recent altercation with ex-girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson’s father.
As for who she still keeps in contact with, Stassi said Katie Maloney remains one of her closest friends and that she also occasionally sees Tom Schwartz.
“Obviously, Katie Maloney and I talk to Tom Schwartz and see him every now and then,” she shared.
She added that she keeps her distance from most of the rest of the cast.
“I don’t talk to the other ones. I, like, see Ariana Madix out and it’s always nice to see her. But I keep them at a distance. A lot of them, it’s like, if you give an inch they take a mile. So if I run into them, we’ll be cordial. But I’m not picking up the phone anytime soon.”
Stassi also revealed she hasn’t spoken to Jax in years.
“I couldn’t even tell you. I haven’t talked to him in like five years, it feels like, since before my wedding,” she said.
She then reacted to reports of Jax’s relationship with Lori Krebs, comparing the situation to “Scandoval.”
“Dude! It’s like Scandoval all over again. This (expletive) is crazy. I feel so bad for Brittany,” she said.
Stassi also shared her opinion of Lori, saying, “I always knew she was bad news. I felt it the first time I met her.”
She continued, “Honestly, I guess they’re right for each other. I hope they get married. I hope it lasts.”
Stassi also speculated about photos of the pair that surfaced online, adding, “I also think that she leaked it. I do … She submitted those photos.”
The VPR Star Explains Why She Passed on ‘The Valley’
Although several of her former castmates now star on “The Valley,” Stassi said joining the Bravo series was never the right fit.
“I don’t live in the Valley,” she explained. “But I think they’ve done a really good job of creating something. I will give them their flowers. I think the cast is really honest, and I appreciate when people put their (expletive) out there. That was just never gonna be for me. I have a different aesthetic.”
Instead, Stassi has focused on her own series, “House of Stassi,” which is currently streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
She revealed that Schwartz was the only former “Vanderpump Rules” castmate she considered featuring on the show.
“We thought about asking Schwartz, but he’s contracted with Bravo, so that was that,” she explained.
Stassi also teased that there’s more to the story behind why “House of Stassi” didn’t end up on Bravo.
“I would love to tell the whole (expletive) story about why ‘House of Stassi’ wasn’t on Bravo but really can’t,” she said.
She wrapped up the interview by addressing what she believes fans most often misunderstand about her personality.
“When people come up to me, a lot of the times, they think they need to be this bad (expletive),” she said. “I don’t feel like I’m like that. I’m actually very polite, and I’m not mean to people unless they give me a reason to be.”
