This becoming public, in my opinion, could be Lori K. being a publicist. Now, that doesn't mean that her and Jax aren't hooking up. It means that they planted those TMZ pictures to get cameras up on Jax. It means that Brittany and Jax's divorce, I don't believe, is legally finalized. Brittany stands to gain a lot by Jax having a paycheck. So we get cameras up, Jax gets his paycheck, Jax is on the next season of The Valley. They finalize the divorce. Brittany doesn't have to pay alimony. Jax and Lori are banging anyway. From Brittany's standpoint, doesn't it make more sense for her to do what she has to do to get him back on the show so she at least can absolve her financial responsibility for him? Yes, it does make sense.
Welcome to Cocktails and Gossip, the podcast where we drink cocktails, but you better believe we're gonna spill the tea. We chat reality TV, celebrity blinds, and the hottest tea from bravoandcocktails.com. And as always, it's all alleged and just for fun. We do not verify our blinds. I'm B. And I'm Amanda. Let's get into this week's tea.
What's up, Cocktailers? What's up, Amanda? Hi, B. Hi, Cocktailers. So first wanted to say thank you to our Cocktail Party members for such a fun Zoom last night. Yeah, it was a good one. We were able to get kind of in depth on a couple of things. I got a phone call yesterday from my cousin who was listening to our pod, and she was like, "I guess I never told you that I had to get physical therapy," after her daughter was born, actually four years after, and they do finger you. She's like, "I never told you this." Oh my gosh. She started getting the symptoms, and she mentioned it to the doctor, and finally they sent her for it and she said it was like four or five sessions. She said it felt like getting a massage when they finally get the knot out and it hurts so good, and then she was good.
Chelsea Handler's Public Letter to Her Family
Did you see Chelsea Handler's post to her family? I follow her. She wrote essentially a letter to what sounds like all of her nieces and nephews, after a family vacation. I most certainly did. Okay, I wanna read a couple parts of it, and I'm gonna paraphrase. So she says, "To all of my nuggets, I wanna start out by saying I love you for all different reasons, and there is nothing you can ever do to get me to un-love you." And then she says, "Our family is dysfunctional, and that's what families are. What we need to work on, however, is manners. There was a definite shortfall of manners on this trip, and I left this trip feeling embarrassed and taken advantage of." She says, "Say hello to people who are working in the house, who are delivering something, or who work for me. You don't have to have long conversations with the housekeepers or workers, but you do need to acknowledge their existence out of decency and respect." Then she says, "I treat my employees like family, and I expect you to do the same. When someone is carrying a large package, whether you are a girl or a boy, I would like you to offer your assistance." It says, "Girls, do not roll your eyes repeatedly or even ever. Do not consume copious amounts of alcohol on multiple occasions." "Clean your plates after you eat. Open the dishwasher and put them inside. Do not complain about food when you are eating it. This happened at every meal." "I understand not everybody wants to hang out with their family 24/7, but I am going to require that when you are with the family, during a game or a movie or at dinner, you are not on your phone or playing video games," which I think is absolutely fair.
And then, "I know your moms can drive you crazy, but you cannot speak to your mothers the way that some of you do, especially not in front of other people. Save that behavior for home. You're going to regret treating your moms like that. I speak from experience." And she says, "Your moods are your problem, and you are old enough to start reassessing how you want to be in this world. A good rule of thumb is, as a guest, to never finish something. When I make a pitcher of margaritas, don't finish the pitcher unless you're willing to make more. Please say please and thank you at every opportunity. When you see your mother cleaning, help her. I don't want my sisters cleaning dishes on their vacation. I'm not bringing my sisters on vacation to watch any of them do housework. Do not come out to eat if you can't control your mood. Everyone in this family is old enough to make eye contact with restaurant workers." And then she says, "Think about how you're contributing to the vacation. A contribution does not mean financial. It means what sort of pleasantness are you planning to bring. It is not a free-for-all. I love you all. You are experiencing something that most people will never get to experience. I don't need you to thank me all day. I just need you to show the respect to the situation and appreciate it. I don't care how much our family annoys you, it's the only one we've got, and we're stuck together for life. All my love, Chelsea."
My thoughts were I absolutely loved her message. I think it is appropriate. As an aunt myself, I will step in and I will have conversations with my nieces and my nephews where I feel necessary. I don't see anything wrong with aunts and uncles parenting in that way. It also sounds like her nieces and nephews, who sound to be teens to young adults, are incredibly privileged and spoiled and rude. So if I were Chelsea, I would certainly, I hope I would say it as eloquently as she did. The only thing that gives me pause, for her siblings' sake, is making it public. Because she is such a public personality, five-plus million followers. Now the whole world knows this, and it is a reflection on parenting. We've all been in situations where we're out to dinner and one of our kids says or does something embarrassing, and you're embarrassed. I either address it right there or pull my child to the side, or when we leave I explain to them that I won't take them out if they're going to act like that. I'm not famous, so I don't know. If I had a rich uncle or brother, and he took my family on a lavish trip, and he posted something like this for all of his Facebook friends, I would absolutely agree with the message, and I certainly would welcome any of my siblings to speak with my child if there was a situation like this. I just, if your kids came on vacation with me, Amanda, and I publicly posted this to Bravo and Cocktails, I would be upset that now all of our followers know that I'm the kind of parent whose kids do this. And again, it shouldn't be that way, 'cause not every move my kids make is a direct reflection of me. But you just can't help but carry the guilt or shame.
Reading this, I'm like, yeah, teenagers can be self-centered, but they're built to be like that. I had a therapist tell me that biologically, at this stage in life, their bodies and brains are preparing them to leave the nest. So there is something biologically in them that makes them get easily annoyed with you, embarrassed by you in public, because that is biology preparing them to separate from their family. However, I do think kids need to be reminded sometimes. No phones at the table, no eating in your room, look servers in the eye, be pleasant at dinner or don't come. I'm sure those kids have all been taught that, but sometimes they just need to be reminded. A conversation I keep having with my teenage son is, "When you're in the house and we're all in the common area, don't have your AirPods in." Then I'll say something to him, and he'll be like, "Wait, what?" And I'm like, "No, when we're all in the family area, you don't have them in." And he is one of the first people to hop up and put dishes in the dishwasher. So I looked at this as not all of those kids are doing all of those behaviors. And we've all seen what it's like when you have moody teenagers. You and I both know what it's like to have hormones. There is truly one day a month where I literally wanna kill everybody, and I now have the awareness to know why and to take it down a notch. But teenagers, this is their first time being teenagers. They don't know that sometimes it's more of a chemical thing than everything in the world sucks.
I thought the other thing, too, is when she was talking about her staff, and always being courteous and helpful to the staff. Some of these kids I'm sure don't have staff at home and don't know. I could even see my own daughter not quite knowing how, if she's supposed to help somebody or not. I always tell this story about work. One of my first jobs in advertising, we were all going down to a conference room for a phone call, and the boss is just staring at me, and he's like, "Aren't you gonna dial the conference call in? It's your responsibility." And I was like, "Oh, my gosh, yes." Nobody told me that is the custom there. So sometimes you just have to tell people that this is the expectation. Not everybody has the same rules at home. Anyway, I agree, though. I think putting the family on blast was not appropriate, and I'm sure that there's been some conversations had about that. And we don't know if her sisters were consulted and they were like, "Absolutely, do it." I also think, sometimes kids and teenagers, you can say things over and over again, and it's not until somebody else says it, somebody that they look up to that is not their parent, that it really lands for them. I have had my son's mentor, who plays in college, tell some things to my son so that my son hears it better. So there could be some of that going on. Maybe the sisters were like, "Put them on blast." And especially because of the drinking piece and the edibles, it doesn't sound to me like these are 13-year-olds. It kind of sounds like these are young adults. Well, it could range in all different ages. In my family, we have a 21-year-old all the way down to 12, and we go on vacation together, and the expectations are obviously different for the younger kids.
It's also so timely because we are all vacationing, and there's stresses with vacations. When you get back and you log into Instagram and you look at the highlight reel, and then you think of your own vacation where before dinner your kid's crying, you're arguing with your husband, it's easy to feel like everyone has a great vacation but our family's crazy. And nobody posts the picture of them fighting before they get to dinner when they're hangry and sunburned. Exactly.
Angie K and Shawn's RHOSLC Separation Tea
Okay, let's get into some Bravo stuff. The RHONY trailer, which we will discuss, Real Housewives of London premiered on Peacock and I think on Bravo. Yes. I watched it on Bravo. I watched it on Peacock last night. I like to watch stuff on Peacock better. You usually get the extended version, and you don't have to worry about the ads. But first, I wanna go back to Sunday night, what you were thinking when you saw that Larry posted. Larry doesn't post tea and rumors unless he knows. He posted @bravobygays that Angie K. and her husband, Sean, from Salt Lake City, that they were separated. So I actually had a text from Larry, but it was Sunday. I had a bunch of family over, and when I saw it, I was like, "What?" So I had a source say to me, when I looked into it, that they knew during filming the relationship was fractured, and it was likely heading that way. First of all, like Amanda said, Larry doesn't post nonsense. If he's posting it, it's because he has it on very good authority. I'm not sure what details Larry shared. But what I can tell you is the sources I spoke with have not confirmed an affair. Again, I'm not saying there wasn't an affair. My sources are just saying to me it is more so a breakdown of the marriage. We will see this season. What I heard is Angie really went all into this housewife thing. They do run these businesses together, so prior to Housewives they were together with a common goal. And now her focus is on her brand deals and on Bravo, and so that caused issues.
I was really sad when I saw this. 27 years of marriage is a very long time. So I saw a lot of people say they weren't surprised based on how they treated each other on the show. I was surprised. 30 years, you sort of assume you're gonna make it through because you made it through almost three decades of changes. We change over the course of our lives, and as somebody who got married at 26 and is 44, I'm married a long time. And I've been married to many different versions of my husband and he's been married to many different versions of me, and we became parents together and we've changed careers and lost, in my case, my mom, and that changes you deeply. So I was surprised and I was really saddened. Separation isn't a divorce, and maybe they're gonna take some time apart and realize that's not what they want. I thought it was wild, 'cause I'm like, "Is 27 years the new seven-year itch?" Because Kyle and Mauricio announced their separation right around 27-ish years as well. And I do agree with people saying this doesn't make it not a success because that is a long marriage.
Here are my thoughts. I think Sean did a really good job on camera of being the supportive husband on TV. He didn't poke at Angie too hard. But I always wondered about their relationship 'cause I never saw a spark. You would see Sean show up, he would defend his wife, but I never saw him do things like hug her from behind, or be flirty, or be like, "Can't wait for you to get home." And I know the spark fades, but it looked to me like they got into kind of a roommate loop. Angie has even said on camera that she doesn't always prioritize the marriage, that her daughter always comes first, and that work often takes precedence. I wondered if something was up when they sold their house, and that was last year. I remember thinking it was odd 'cause they had just built that house. The only thing I can think of is if they're gonna upgrade somehow 'cause their daughter is a big equestrian, so maybe they wanted something with some land. Or maybe selling the house had nothing to do with it. But I always say this when we hear divorce news, I really hope that they can keep it as peaceful a process as possible. I have seen some awful divorces in my life. And when I say that, I am not talking about mine. Mine went pretty smoothly. I just, for their daughter, I hope. And I felt sick to my stomach seeing especially Meredith Marks's post where she essentially called it karma. And I don't know if that was pointed at Angie, which I think it was, or if it was pointed at Whitney because Whitney and Justin are supposedly separated as well. I thought that was absolutely gross.
To speak to the Whitney and Justin thing, it came out that there's strain in their marriage, and then I saw that they were living apart. I feel like for the last three years, after filming and before the show airs, Whitney comes out and says this. That's not to say they won't separate, but their marriage has been strained. It's been the whole, when she gave her beauty line to his MLM. This is not new. Whereas the Angie and Sean thing is new, which is why to me it was news. And while I hope Justin and Whitney are doing okay for their children's sake, it just doesn't surprise me because it's nothing we haven't heard. But I do think it's important with the Sean and Angie thing, first of all, neither of them have commented, and 27 years, we don't know that they've never separated, but I don't believe they have. Maybe time apart will make them want to get the spark back. And maybe it won't. But I just hope however it lands, it is friendly, because I also was thinking of Angie's dad. Angie's so close with her father, and you have to picture that her father thinks of Sean as a son at this point. So it just becomes so complicated. Wishing them the best.
Is Leva Leaving Southern Hospitality?
Okay, so there's been a lot of talk about what's going on in Charleston. I think we talked about this last week that you had heard Leva was not gonna come back to Southern Hospitality. We spoke about it, and I think I heard she wasn't coming back, but cameras weren't up, so I didn't know what was happening. So then the rumor comes up that she's not coming back. It has not been confirmed, but we did see TJ post a story. He started a hotdog stand called Sir Weiners that he was putting outside of Republic. He shared that he was opening two brick-and-mortar locations, one in Charleston and one in Richmond. And then he also made some comments that seem like they are directed at Leva, which is, "I have realized my success can't only come through one person," essentially saying that Leva was holding him back is what the implication sounded like. It does look like Leva unfollowed both TJ and Joe. She posted some posts that said, "I don't care if effing losers don't like me," which she tried to then deny it was about him. And she also stays in the comments on the socials.
So I'll read one of the emails we got about this. Subject, about that Southern beef. "Regarding the Southern beef, rumor has it the matriarch of the show won't be back. Word is network loves the show but is unhappy with her. Not confirmed, but I'm hearing this." We had heard she wasn't coming back, and then those posts happened, and then the Southern beef email came in. It didn't make a ton of sense before, which is why we were kinda like, "But Leva's not coming back. Cameras aren't up. Is the show canceled?" 'Cause they usually go straight from filming Southern Charm. It's the same production team, then they hop over to Southern Hospitality. And I did see other accounts pick this up, and to be honest with you, we weren't cited and nor was anybody else. So it's hard to know if they're just going based off of what we said and posted or if more sources are sharing that Leva's not returning. What I was told is that Leva is very difficult to work with and the network was very unhappy. If this is true and she's not on the show, I would assume she wouldn't get a producer credit and they wouldn't film in her business. But a lot of the main people aren't even working there anymore. And what we have heard from several people is that production loves the cast and they plan to move forward with them. They could very easily film a show not at Republic. It would be more like a Southern Charm, where it's a show based in the town and not centered around Leva's businesses. Leva wasn't really on the show, and whether that's by her design or the network's, I can't speak to. But we all remember when Vanderpump Rules kind of tried to continue at SUR, but nobody was really working at SUR, and there was a lot of chatter about how it seemed fake. Maybe the network is looking to learn from that and pivot away from Republic. And we know that Bravo lets people say what they want to say. So TJ, Brad, Joe, Maddi, any of the main cast, they may not wanna come out and bash Leva. It's a small town they live in. She's clearly a powerful woman. So unless TJ gets drunk and pokes something, we won't know. Or Brad, I feel like Brad is the one who's gonna say something. And the main cast has evolved beyond Republic. Maddi's got a thriving DJ career. TJ's opening two brick-and-mortar Sir Weiners. Brad has his workout thing. We'll see. I do wonder if the fact that they don't have cameras up right now is, are they just doing a more extended hiatus in between shows while they're trying to figure all this out? That's what they did with Jersey.
In the City Reunion Recap
Okay. So In The City, the reunion, the first of two aired. I'm dying to get your thoughts. First, I just wanted to say Tracy's interview with Dr. Georgina was so amazing. If you guys haven't seen it, it's on the website, it's on our YouTube channel. That story about the mole was so funny. Was her office just so cute? Was she just so cute in person? She's so beautiful. The staff in the office was lovely. It felt very spa-like. When you walked in, the waiting room was very zen. And she's just so upfront, and the personalized attention she gives to her patients. She rates every skincare product, be it cost, efficiency. And she gives everybody a personalized routine, what they should do. She's just above and beyond. Such a smart baddie. She went to Georgetown.
Okay. So let's first get the West, Amanda, Kyle part of the reunion out of the way. Lots of interesting moments there. And a lot of people are not tired of the West, Amanda, Kyle stuff, because people were watching that show with a fine-tooth comb. So first of all, I was not surprised to hear that Amanda can talk and laugh with Kyle about his hookups and him having sober sex. You guys have heard us say this before, and it made me wonder if Amanda actually listens too. Because my theory, which came from my divorce lawyer, is that women mourn the end of the marriage well before the divorce, and men mourn the marriage during and after. Amanda actually essentially said that on the show. I was like, "She might listen to us." And so many castmates were like, "That's what Amanda always says." Our Amanda. The good Amanda. The fact that she can laugh about it, it tells me that it was really over for her before the separation. But we had heard that she came to this reunion ready, meaning that she did not take whatever pharmaceutical, and she definitely seemed way more present. Andy even asked her if she took anything during the Summer House reunion. She admitted to beta blockers, but then she said the way she acted is because she shuts down and dissociates when she's around Kyle. That felt like more BS with a side of, "Let me find another way to blame my behavior on my ex-husband."
She definitely was much more there, much more present in body and mind. I don't buy just the beta blocker. I liked her admitting that she was disappointed in how she showed up at the Summer House reunion. She said the plan was to apologize, offer clarity, and come across as hurt and sorry for how she affected other people. But instead, her instinct took over. She went into defense mode, and she regrets it. I like that she said, "I'm not blaming anyone else for that." I think whoever prepped her for this reunion did a good job, but we can't forget who and what we saw at the Summer House reunion. So while I think she wishes she handled herself differently, I don't feel she's actually remorseful. If there was remorse, that would have come through at the Summer House reunion. I think she's wanting to win over fans. Her brand deals have completely dried up, and this is how she earns money, and she needs the job. What I noticed was, when she was explaining herself during the first part of the In the City reunion, she clarified that Kyle had been spotted making out with Sally before any of us ever heard a rumor about West, and she said something like, "It's not like Kyle was at home in his bed crying." To me, it was very clear that she wants people to know she did not cheat on Kyle. So even if there was an emotional thing, I do believe she didn't cheat on him until they were officially done. Do I think she banged West the night that they made the statement? Yes, I do. Now, that said, it is quite clear that she doesn't care about Ciara in all of this. She really views it like this was more of a figment of Ciara's imagination, whereas West was more into Amanda. So Ciara can get over it or not, but she's gonna pursue it 'cause she's interested in him. She is more shocked at the fan reaction, and she feels it's wholly unfair, but she prepped for the In the City reunion to try to come across as somebody who's understanding. But still, what we got was she wanted us to know she didn't cheat on Kyle, and I tend to believe that piece of it.
I actually think that your theory probably makes the most sense, because at the same time, this is before West and Amanda's statement, but after Kyle and Amanda's statement, there was a time where, yes, Kyle had made out with Sally. At that same time, he was also supposedly going around town saying, "West is effing my wife." And then we had heard that West and Amanda had been seen holding hands under the table. So that would all kind of make everything fall into place. And I think maybe the emotional part with Amanda and West started well before that. He's very handsy, very touchy-feely. I don't think everything just started at zero the night that she and Kyle split. I think it had been building for a while, and that's why she rushed the statement, in Kyle's words. I just wonder if she thinks about whether all of this was worth it. If she looks back and says, "Is it worth it for me to now lose all these brand deals? Is he really truly the prize?" Where she kinda had this attitude at the reunion that she quote-unquote won. So I think she does think about it, but I think she justifies it to herself.
Andy pressed her on whether she and West are in love. She said that's a weird question to answer, but then admitted that they don't say, "I love you." Which, you're traveling internationally, you're going to all these weddings with somebody, you're spitting chewed olives into other people's mouths. You're apparently monogamous, but you're not saying I love you to each other? That doesn't make sense. I was embarrassed for her. And both couches were like, "Wow, really?" Pick me, pick me girl. I was actually really happy that we had Danielle weigh in because Danielle was on Summer House for a long time. She has known Amanda for 10 years. We know that Danielle and Amanda have not always been the best of friends. I do think she was pretty fair in what she said to Amanda. Danielle told Amanda, "I'm genuinely disappointed both in how the friendships around you are fractured and you doubling down and going with West to Italy. I know you had to make a decision, I just wish you would take some time alone first." And I think it came from a sincere place of concern for Amanda. I think what we saw on the In the City reunion, which is probably partially why Amanda was more comfortable, was the people there were obviously less angry and more like, "What are you doing?" And the Castle said, "We have not hung out with them since." Shady King Gavin said that they both know better than to show up at his bars.
What's funny is they were spotted at Rocco's. I think they went probably after the reunion, 'cause I had a picture of them that somebody sent me at Rocco's, so that is very ironic, and it is so Amanda and West to do that. Because Amanda said on the couch, "No, we have not gone to Rocco's." And Gavin was like, "Yeah, you know better." And I have a picture of just Amanda and West, and it was at Rocco's. I didn't share it as a post, I just shared it on my Instagram stories. They filmed June 11th, so it's some time after that. I have a feeling Gavin knew a lot more. I think bar owners know what's going on in the streets. And Kenny hinted at that on his Watch What Happens Live episode as well, that Gavin knows where all the bodies are buried.
The other big topic at the reunion was Whitney versus Lindsay. So the last episode of the show, everybody kinda made up. But then Whitney and Lindsay had their big blow up. It seemed like they came to some resolution, but now Lindsay and Georgina have both watched the show back, and Lindsay says it was so much worse than it was explained to her. She's seeing exactly what Whitney said. In true Lindsay dramatic fashion, she said, "I cried about what you said for six months. You're gonna need about 15 more apologies to every mom in the entire world." Very poor choice of words. So Kenny and Whitney's position is, "We thought we had resolution, and now you've been going around and talking about this." And Lindsay went hard on Kenny. She called him a narcissist and a gaslighter on the show. This is where Lindsay gets herself tripped up. She has every right to be upset, but at a certain point, when you're at the reunion, the purpose is to resolve it. She wouldn't take the apology. Let the mouse go. Kenny was rude to her, no doubt, but she went a little too hard. The comments from fans certainly agree. It's kind of like the old Lindsay. She can be right about something, but she doesn't know when to lay her sword down, and that's the part that while fans love her, it's the part that they struggle with. Reunions are for resolutions. And when you see somebody do this, you do get the feeling that they're milking the narrative, and it seems a little produced. I don't want this to be the headline of season two. Season two has to be her and Whitney meeting for coffee and agreeing to move forward. And then if they have another fight because their personalities don't mesh, I'm all for that. Otherwise, we have a Valley on our hands, which this whole season has been about.
And by the way, with the Valley, do I believe the rumor that it's not coming back? I don't. They don't have Vanderpump Rules. That spin-off they tried is not coming back. They're gonna try to do something. And I actually said something last night on the Zoom that I wanna say here. I know we discussed the Jax and Lori K. situation. But here's my thinking. This becoming public, in my opinion, could be Lori K. being a publicist. That doesn't mean that her and Jax aren't hooking up. They finalize the divorce, Brittany doesn't have to pay alimony. From Brittany's standpoint, doesn't it make more sense for her to do what she has to do to get him back on the show so she can absolve her financial responsibility for him? Yes, it does make sense. And there's no way for me to prove it, and I'm not saying that it means that Lori and Jax aren't hooking up. I have a very good source telling me it goes back to 2017 that Lori and Jax have been hooking up. So yes, they're all opportunists. Lori wants to be famous. But Brittany didn't have to bring it on the show. Jax is off the show. Brittany is bringing it on the show because Jax having a check is good for her. Oh my gosh, the 2017 thing, that's before Brittany and Jax got married. They got married in 2019. I wonder if Lori K. was married. Because her kids are young too. But no, I actually think you have a really good point, 'cause I do think all of them are big opportunists. If I'm Brittany, I don't wanna be paying him alimony. I think they're probably okay, because I don't think they hit the 10-year mark, and that's a big deal in California. But I would want to be splitting all costs for my child with his father, not having to pay for everything. It just came to me last night on our Zoom, and I'm like, "This actually makes a lot of sense." Now, I don't think Lori is working in Brittany's interest necessarily here. But all of them kind of see an opportunity to get him back on the show. I'm sure Lori would love to be on the show as well. And all of her former Bachelor clients, Bachelor people were really her bread and butter.
Real Housewives of London Premiere
So Real Housewives of London, I know you've watched. I enjoyed the first episode. I think these women are beautiful, they're interesting, and they are rich, honey. It really felt rich, didn't it? Second homes. These big houses with terraces in London. Actual castles, which by the way, we got from Lady Emma on Ladies of London. And I know, guys, we are all mourning Ladies of London. I don't want this to sound like I'm over it. I'm not. But these are real socialites, real wealth. The women were interesting. They're clearly connected to both each other and society. What grabbed my attention the most was, I love Amanda's house. That is like a dream bachelorette pad. Just the runner up her stairs. And then she lets everyone wear shoes in her house. How do you keep a white runner so clean? She probably rips it out and gets a new one. But I was really intrigued with the beef between Panthea and Juliet. My opinion, Panthea came off really nasty. Now, I said this last night at the Zoom, and someone was like, "If somebody drilled my child's teeth seven times." I don't know that's exactly what happened. Obviously, that's not okay, but Panthea, years later, to bring this up at the International Women's Day event, either she really holds a grudge or she's really looking for screen time. I think she went really low needing to bring in Juliet borrowing clothes and being fake, and really going after her character as a whole. It's one thing to be upset, but when Juliet spoke, she was like, "It's not that. You are publicly bashing this woman." And I just felt sorry for her. And the preview for what's to come, it looks like Amanda gets into it with Panthea too. I'm very interested.
I don't blame Panthea for being upset about that situation with her son. Something actually very similar happened to me when I was probably older, I had moved out, I was working professionally in a different city. I went to a dentist that I hadn't been to before, and they were like, "You need seven cavities filled." And I was like, "What? I don't feel anything, and I've always had really good checkups." And then I went back to my dentist for a second opinion, and they were like, "No, you're totally fine." So that is a thing that happens. And especially taking advantage of somebody who the kid is a kid and the parents have money, I don't blame Panthea for being upset. But it definitely seemed like she was taking it out on the wrong person. I also don't believe that tearing somebody down publicly is the right way to work either. I also can't quite get a read on Juliet May here yet, because she acted like she had no idea and was only excited to see Panthea, and then acted like she had no idea why Panthea was so upset at first, but then she definitely knew why. So maybe she is phony. Also, did you notice that her home was the only one that was not featured in her intro? I was thinking, maybe there's a lot of smoke and mirrors, because between her home not being featured and Panthea pointing out that she borrows clothes. But then I believe in the previews, that huge castle they go to is her husband's family's castle. But that doesn't mean that they're swimming in cash. Those things take so much money to keep up, as we've seen from Emma. So I got the feeling maybe there is something to what Panthea was saying about Juliet keeping up appearances. Especially the fact that we didn't see the inside of the house. We just saw her doing her makeup for a minute, but not the big sweeping view like we did with everybody else. So I'm checking for that. I 100% clocked that.
Nessie, the tiger mom who makes cakes, I'm curious to see if she'll get in the mix or if she'll just spend the whole season getting shocked reaction looks. Something tells me she gets in the mix. She seems like a tough cookie when she called herself a tiger mama. She was obviously working in crazy money business. Somebody's gonna piss her off. I don't think she goes there easily, but when she goes, she goes all in. Well, she calls herself a tradwife, but she works full time, she's present for her kids, and she quote-unquote "takes care of her husband," which I thought was funny. There's just something really exciting and fun about a new Housewife show that it just feels so fun to get immersed in a whole different world.
What about the housewife who's Jamaican? What about all of her properties? Holy goodness. Gorgeous. She's got a chock-full life with the grownup kids, and she seems very interesting. When they said Jersey, I thought they meant New Jersey, but obviously there's a Jersey, part of England. Which tells you the estate. She's got a mansion in every town. She's fabulous. It sounds like she got one of the biggest divorce settlements in British history. So with her, I'm watching and I'm like, "Is she really this big girl boss, or is she faking it till she makes it 'cause she's got the money to put into it?" And then when is our American Juliet coming? We see her probably next episode, 'cause she was in most of the previews. Did you see in the preview that Caroline Stanbury comes and tells Juliet she needs a face-lift? And then Dorinda's there, which by the way, it was a couple years ago, but we had the exclusive that they'd both be in it. And they are. I'm excited. And those of you that have already watched it, we felt there was no sense in getting into it if the majority of our listeners were like, "We can't get it. Why are you talking about a show that isn't available in the States?" So I'm really excited it's available. Those of you who have already watched the entire show, you're probably all like, "But this happens, and this happens." We don't know yet. So we're literally watching it with the American premieres.
We love you guys. Till next time. Bye.
