Shep Rose is back in the dating game, but his romantic past might not be completely behind him.

The “Southern Charm” star confirmed he’s single and actively dating during season 12 of the Bravo series. However, the upcoming season will also bring his former girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, back into the picture.

Speaking with Bravo Insider ahead of the season premiere, Shep revealed that viewers will see him pursuing new relationships.

“I’m actively dating,” Shep said. “So you’re going to see me on several dates, which is fun.”

The longtime Bravo star admitted that finding a relationship isn’t always easy, but he’s willing to keep trying.

“I love getting to know people, and you know, it’s a crapshoot,” he continued. “You never know, but you’ve got to try. You must participate. So I am actively dating this season.”

While Shep seems ready to meet new women, the Season 12 trailer suggests he may still have unresolved feelings for Taylor.

‘Southern Charm’ Season 12 Trailer Teases Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green Reunion

The trailer shows Shep telling Rodrigo Reyes that Taylor recently contacted him. The former couple also meets for a meal, raising questions about whether they could rekindle their romance.

However, Craig Conover doesn’t appear convinced that Shep knows what he wants.

During a conversation with Austen Kroll, Craig calls out his longtime friend for making conflicting statements about his romantic future.

“I go, ‘Shep, this is delusional. You just told me you might marry Taylor, but you said you want to (expletive) every girl.’ I think he’s a lost soul,” Craig says in the trailer.

Bravo’s official season 12 description also hints that Shep will have to confront his past.

“Caught between where he wants to be and where he’s been, Shep is working on bettering himself, but is forced to confront some harsh realities after ‘the one that got away’ reemerges and old alliances are put to the test,” the network teased.

Shep previously addressed his relationship with Taylor during a July 1 appearance on SiriusXM’s “Page Six Radio.”

“She’s back in my life a little bit, and I’m very pleased with that,” he said.

The ‘Southern Charm’ OG Reveals Taylor Ann Green Inspired His Latest Book

Taylor also played a role in Shep’s second book, “Nothing in Moderation: A Psychedelic Reckoning with Excess.”

During an August interview with Bravo Insider, Shep revealed that he gave his ex a copy of the book because he wrote about her and their relationship.

“She really liked it. I said some nice things that I meant about she and her family in there,” he explained.

Shep also acknowledged how much Taylor influenced his life.

“She’s a big reason of how I got here today, right now, especially back then. So she, in many ways, was the muse, or a muse that inspired me.”

Although Shep has confirmed he’s dating other women, he hasn’t indicated that he and Taylor are officially getting back together.

Fans will have to watch season 12 of “Southern Charm” to see how their relationship unfolds and whether Shep’s dating adventures lead to something serious.
