Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner have come a long way from doing Instagram Lives during the pandemic.

The former “Summer House” stars recently announced that their hit podcast, “Giggly Squad,” is moving to SiriusXM under a four-year deal. Now, a new report claims a major bidding war behind the scenes, with multiple offers reportedly reaching around $150 million.

According to Like and Subscribe News on Substack, SiriusXM, Amazon and Acast were all interested in landing “Giggly Squad.” Acast had previously hosted the popular podcast.

Author Natalie Jarvey reported that SiriusXM ultimately landed the deal by offering Paige, 33, and Hannah, 35, $35 million per year. That would total $140 million over four years.

Interestingly, the report claims that wasn’t necessarily the biggest offer on the table.

Breaking Down Paige DeSorbo & Hannah Berner’s New ‘Giggly Squad’ Deal

The Hollywood Reporter reported that “Giggly Squad” was moving to SiriusXM in a multiyear deal, but the reported numbers offer a new look at how valuable the podcast has become.

Under the agreement, SiriusXM will handle exclusive global advertising sales for both the audio and video versions of “Giggly Squad.” The company also gained distribution rights, with episodes continuing to appear across podcast platforms and YouTube.

The deal also includes additional “Giggly Squad” programming expected to debut next year.

“We’re so excited for this next chapter with SiriusXM. ‘Giggly Squad’ has grown beyond anything we could have imagined and getting to experience that growth with the Gigglers has made it even more special,” Paige and Hannah said in a joint statement. “We can’t wait for what’s next and to keep giggling together.”

SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein also addressed the deal.

“‘Giggly Squad’ has already become a real force in podcasting, driven by Hannah and Paige’s undeniable chemistry, indelible humor, and the incredible community they’ve cultivated around the show,” Greenstein said.

“We’re excited to welcome them to SiriusXM and put our expertise behind what they’ve built to help them take it even further and give their fans more of what they love,” he added.

“Giggly Squad” started as an Instagram Live during the COVID pandemic before Paige and Hannah turned the concept into a podcast in 2020. The pair now release two episodes each week, covering everything from dating and pop culture to what’s happening in their own lives.

And, every once in a while, Gigglers might even get a rare mention of Paige’s notoriously private boyfriend, Joe D’Amelio.
