Vicki Gunvalson is opening up about getting in trouble with Bravo over comments made on her podcast — and she does not sound thrilled about being singled out.
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” veteran, who returned as a full-time cast member for the show’s 20th season, said on “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast” that she had been “yelled at” by Bravo over something discussed on the podcast. Her cohost, Christian Gray Snow, explained that something she said recently had gone too far and that they were now trying to be more careful so Vicki wouldn’t get in trouble again.
Vicki, however, questioned why she appears to be under such a close microscope when other RHOC cast members also speak publicly about the show.
“I don’t know why everybody else gets to talk!” Vicki said before questioning why others can discuss the show when she cannot. She also stressed that the comments that landed her in hot water were about herself, not another cast member.
That distinction clearly matters to Vicki, who has never exactly been known for keeping her opinions to herself.
Vicki Questions Bravo’s Podcast Rules
Vicki is not the only RHOC cast member with a podcast. Tamra Judge and Emily Simpson also currently host podcasts, and other Bravo personalities have previously discussed limits on what they can reveal about their shows while they air.
Christian’s comments suggest Vicki and her podcast team are now being more cautious. Still, the exact remark that prompted Bravo’s reaction has not been identified.
Vicki recently appeared on “Reality Nightcap,” where she discussed claims about whether Heather Dubrow’s husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, had inherited money. Vicki said she was not questioning Terry’s success as a plastic surgeon, but she had heard there may have been an inheritance on his side.It is unclear if those comments were what caused Bravo to reprimand Vicki.
For now, Vicki is trying to walk the line between giving podcast listeners her unfiltered take and staying within whatever boundaries Bravo has set. Considering who Vicki is, that may be easier said than done.
