Andy Cohen thinks Tracy Tutor has exactly what it takes to become a memorable Housewife.

On August 19, Bravo confirmed — which Bravo and Cocktails posted about hours earlier— that the “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star is joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and Cohen is now revealing why Tutor’s move to RHOBH makes sense — and why it took so long to happen.

“This is a very long time coming,” Cohen told Variety in a new interview. “She’s been on ‘Watch What Happens Live!’ for years promoting ‘Million Dollar Listing,’ and she overlaps with the ‘Housewives of Beverly Hills.’”

Cohen also pointed to Tutor’s life outside of real estate as another reason she fits the franchise.

“Also, her personal story is so great,” he continued. “She’s climbed her own mountains. She’s aspirational. If the hallmark of being a great ‘Real Housewife’ is speaking how you feel, she’s certainly a bullseye.”

Tracy has never exactly hidden the fact that she wanted to join the “Real Housewives” universe.

The Los Angeles native already had plenty of connections to the Beverly Hills women and spent years as part of the Bravo family through “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.”

So why didn’t Bravo make the move sooner?

“I think Bravo needed to make sure that they were done doing whatever they were doing with ‘Million Dollar Listing LA,’” Cohen explained. “And so, you know, everything happens in its own time.”

Tracy also isn’t joining RHOBH without some opinions about her new co-stars.

When Variety pointed out that she has already indicated there are people she wants to “go after,” Cohen responded, “I know.”

But Cohen said potential drama isn’t the only thing that matters when casting a new Housewife.

“You also want to hear that the person fits,” he explained. “Yes, I mean, I don’t know. It means that she’s got a connection and a feeling.”

Andy Cohen Reveals Bravo Has Tried Casting Housewives in Chicago and Nashville

Cohen also revealed that Bravo hasn’t stopped looking for possible new cities to expand the “Real Housewives” franchise—Cocktailers have all the inside scoop on possible new places.

However, fans waiting for “The Real Housewives of Chicago” or Nashville shouldn’t get too excited just yet.

“We’ve cast in Nashville two or three times,” Cohen revealed. “We’ve cast in Chicago two or three times. We’ve cast in Greenwich, Connecticut.”

By “cast,” Cohen explained that Bravo has gone much further than simply considering those locations.

“Meaning we have cast wide nets and put groups of women on camera who could be potential Housewives, but that we’ve just not found the right groups yet,” he said.

Cohen suggested the next successful addition to the franchise could ultimately come from somewhere viewers aren’t expecting.

“The answer is the cities that we want are usually the ones that are not obvious,” he said, pointing to Potomac, Rhode Island and Salt Lake City as examples of locations that weren’t necessarily obvious choices before Bravo brought cameras to town.

Tell us! Who do you think Tracy is looking forward to going “after,” and why is it Dorit Kemsley? Sound off in the comments below.
