Ciara Miller brought a little “Summer House” drama to the ballroom during Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars,” and her song choice certainly raised some eyebrows!

The reality star and her professional partner, Brandon Armstrong, performed a tango to Disco Lines and Tinashe’s “No Broke Boys” during the show’s Viral Hits Night on September 22.

The performance appeared to reference Ciara’s falling-out with her ex-boyfriend, West Wilson, and former best friend, Amanda Batula, whose relationship became a major storyline on season 10 of “Summer House.”

Ciara didn’t name anyone, but she had a pointed explanation for choosing the song.

Ciara Sends a Message With Her No Broke Boys Performance

After her tango, Ciara told co-host Julianne Hough what inspired her performance.

“One time a broke boy ruined my life — or he tried. But we’re here tonight, so it didn’t work,” she said.

Ciara also opened up about her emotional DWTS debut the previous week. Her first routine, a foxtrot to Whitney Houston’s “Exhale (Shoop Shoop),” left judge Carrie Ann Inaba in tears.

During Tuesday’s prerecorded rehearsal segment, Ciara said it meant a lot to have Carrie Ann recognize the pain behind her first performance. After seven years on reality television, she explained that she has struggled to show her emotions publicly without being labeled dramatic. She also acknowledged how frightening it feels to be vulnerable in front of an audience.

“I’ve been fighting seven years on reality TV to be seen without people calling me so dramatic. I’m not the type of girl that loves to talk publicly, so this is such a display of vulnerability, and that’s frightening,” she explained. “Last week was very vulnerable and this week has me feeling braver.”

Her latest performance earned an enthusiastic response from the ballroom. Carrie Ann declared, “Ciara has entered the building,” and praised her intensity on the dance floor.

Ciara and Brandon received an 18 out of 30 from the judges, improving on their previous score of 15.

Ciara’s Summer House Drama With West and Amanda

As Bravo & Cocktails avid readers already know, Ciara’s latest performance comes months after West and Amanda confirmed their relationship in March, following weeks of speculation.

The news caused a major falling-out between the former friends, and the fallout became a central topic during the three-part “Summer House” season 10 reunion in May and June.

West and Amanda previously explained that their romance grew out of their longstanding friendship. They said they wanted time to understand their feelings before telling everyone about their relationship.

West has since departed “Summer House,” while Amanda exited ahead of season 11. Ciara, meanwhile, is returning for another season and continuing her journey on “Dancing With the Stars.”
