Mary Cosby is opening up about her marriage to Robert Cosby Sr. following an incredibly difficult year for their family.
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star shared a rare update on her husband while speaking with Bravo Insider during the RHOSLC season 7 promotional shoot. Mary revealed that losing their son, Robert Cosby Jr., in February 2026 brought the couple closer together.
“I had a really tragic thing happen in my life, but it brought my husband and I so much closer,” Mary said.
The Bravo star then made her feelings about Robert Sr. clear.
“I adore that man,” she said. “I adore him. And I thank God for him.”
Mary Cosby Says Robert Sr. Is Her ‘Rock’
Mary’s marriage has remained more private than some of the relationships featured on RHOSLC. Robert Sr. serves as Bishop of the couple’s Faith Temple Pentecostal Church and was the father of Robert Jr.
Bravo’s season 7 cast bio says Mary’s family will be an important part of her story following the loss of her son.
“After the devastating loss of her son Robert Jr., the ladies rally behind Mary and are prepared to put their feuds aside to support her,” the bio states. “As she focuses on her healing, Mary finds solace in Robert Sr., her faith, and the path ahead.”
Mary also spoke about the strength of her marriage during an October 2025 interview with People, saying she and Robert Sr. “still love each other.”
“I haven’t turned him off,” she joked. “He still cooks for the family, and he’s our rock.”
Mary Cosby Previously Revealed Why Robert Sr. Understands Her
Mary went on to explain to the publication that after decades together, she believes her husband still understands her in a way that matters to her.
“He always knows what to say, and he always knows how to say it,” Mary said. “Truly, I told him the other day before I came here, like, ‘You really know me, and I love that.’”
She added that long marriages can change as children grow up and couples enter a different stage of their lives.
“You can be married to someone and have no clue who they are even after 30 years, especially when the kids get older, and you have to be a wife again,” Mary said. “You almost have to relearn your husband. But I actually know him. I just see us getting old together, and I’ll always be standing there.”
Fans will get another look at Mary and Robert Sr.’s relationship when “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” returns for season 7 on Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
