Andy Cohen covered plenty of Housewives territory in a new interview, including potential returns, casting decisions, and even rumors about an entirely new franchise.

During a Sept. 5 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Andy addressed Lisa Vanderpump turning down a “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th” appearance, whether NeNe Leakes could return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and why Carole Radziwill became a full-time RHONY Housewife again.

He also weighed in on reports involving a possible “Real Housewives of Montana.”

Lisa Vanderpump Said No to RHUGT as NeNe’s RHOA Future Comes Up

Bravo wanted Lisa to appear on RHUGT, but the former RHOBH star declined the invitation.

Andy jokingly speculated that her history with Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley may have influenced the decision.

“We wanted [Lisa Vanderpump] to come back for [RHUGT] just to make an appearance, and she said, ‘No,’ I think cuz she can’t stand [Kyle Richards] and [Dorit Kemsley], but that’s just me guessing,” Andy shared.

As for NeNe, another immediate RHOA return does not appear to be in the works. Andy pointed to the show’s current eight-Housewife lineup after its recently filmed reunion, although he was enthusiastic about NeNe’s RHUGT comeback and the reaction it received from fans.

That leaves her future with the franchise open without signaling another Atlanta return just yet.

Why Carole Radziwill Became a Full-Time RHONY Housewife Again

Carole initially returned to RHONY in a smaller role before producers decided she belonged back in the main cast.

“She was doing so well and she was such a part of the group that we said, ‘We need to have her as full housewife,’” Andy explained. “So I took her out for another breakfast, and I said, ‘Guess what? We want you to hold an apple.’”

The promotion marks Carole’s first return as a full-time Housewife since she left RHONY after season 10.

Andy was equally enthusiastic about the rest of the revamped season 16 cast, saying producers had “nailed this casting” and calling the new Housewives memorable. He was particularly excited about what Daisy Toye brings to the season, saying, “Daisy brings a lot of drama. She’s just very outspoken.”

Meanwhile, fans should not assume reports about “The Real Housewives of Montana” mean Bravo is preparing another franchise. Bravo and Cocktails heard those rumors as well.

“There’s so many production companies that try to cast housewives and then pitch it to Bravo,” Andy explained.

Between returning familiar faces and a new RHONY lineup, Andy’s comments suggest Bravo currently has plenty of Housewives business already on its plate.
