Erika Hammond is one of the new faces joining “The Real Housewives of New York City” for season 16, and her life with billionaire husband Ankur Jain is already giving Bravo plenty to work with.

The fitness entrepreneur comes into RHONY with quite the resume. According to her Instagram bio, Erika created the Equinox class Knockout, was part of the founding team at Rumble Boxing, founded activewear line P.S. Active, and previously worked as a WWE NXT Diva.

Her Bravo bio also promises a peek inside a considerably more luxurious side of her life, including her own private island and her marriage to Ankur.

But despite all that wealth, Erika apparently still has limits.

In the season 16 trailer, she declares, “Gucci is expensive,” prompting castmate Daisy Toye to joke, “She acts more frugal than you do and she’s the billionaire!”

Technically, that billionaire would be her husband.

Who Is RHONY Star Erika Hammond’s Husband Ankur Jain?

Ankur is the founder and CEO of Bilt Rewards, a financial services company that allows users to earn rewards by paying rent and mortgages, according to Forbes.

Before Bilt, he also served as chief product officer at Tinder, according to his website.

While viewers will get a look at the couple’s glamorous life on RHONY, Bravo has also teased a more personal storyline for Erika.

Her cast bio says she will open up about fertility struggles during season 16, adding that there are “some things money can’t buy.”

The couple’s love story, however, started somewhere considerably less glamorous than a private island: a workout class.

Erika explained during a 2024 appearance on the “Weddings-ish with Jove” podcast that she first met Ankur when he started attending her Rumble classes.

“I was his instructor,” Erika said. “He started coming into my class a few years before we actually went on our first date.”

There was no immediate romance because both were dating other people at the time.

“We were both in different relationships at the time. But he was on my VIP list, so I would call him out and be like, ‘Ankur, you’re doing really great,’” Erika recalled. “But then a few years later, we were both single. He ended up asking me out on a date.”

From Rumble class to billionaire romance is certainly one way to meet a future husband.

The couple became engaged in New York City in November 2022 before taking their wedding festivities much farther from home.

Erika and Ankur married on April 26, 2024, in Egypt with approximately 130 friends and family members in attendance, according to The Knot.

The wedding weekend included private tours of the pyramids and a brunch on the Nile River before the pair exchanged vows in front of the Sphinx.

“We’re New Yorkers, and there’s something so special about being in a completely different world environment,” Ankur told People in 2024. “So we decided, our wedding is about having a moment together to celebrate the new beginning, having a very special party with our friends somewhere where you’re in a different world.”

Erika summed it up more simply: “It’s a once in a lifetime experience.”
