‘McBee Dynasty’ Star Alli McBee’s Career Plays a Bigger Role in Her Marriage Than Fans May Realize

Alli McBee may be married into the McBee farming family, but she has built a career completely outside the family business.

Alli and Jesse McBee have spent season 3 of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” balancing their careers, raising their daughter, Summer Leigh McBee, and a marriage that has faced serious growing pains.

While Jesse spends much of his time working around the McBee family farm near Gallatin, Missouri, Alli works in healthcare.

Alli is a family nurse practitioner working in oncology in Missouri. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Research College of Nursing in Kansas City in December 2023.

Her career also helps explain one part of Jesse and Alli’s life that viewers may have questions about: why the couple maintains two homes.

Alli McBee’s Nursing Career Keeps the Family Between Kansas City and the Farm

Alli’s job requires her to spend time in Kansas City, while Jesse’s work keeps him connected to the family farm.

Instead of choosing one location, the couple found a way to make both work.

“We are splitting our time between two homes, but just doing it together,” Jesse and Alli told Bravo in 2025. “We still stay up on the farm on most weekends and sometimes during the week when I have a day off, and then stay in our city house the other days. We have found this just works best with our schedules and with the baby now.”

The arrangement lets Alli continue the healthcare career she worked to build while Jesse stays involved in the McBee family operation.

But maintaining two homes while raising a young child hasn’t always made their marriage easier.

Jesse and Alli McBee’s Careers Have Put Pressure on Their Marriage

Season 3 has shown Jesse and Alli dealing with challenges that come with their demanding schedules.

Alli has said Jesse spends many nights at the farm while she stays in the city. The couple has also acknowledged that becoming parents changed their relationship as much of their attention shifted to Summer.

Alli has been open about wanting more communication and effort from her husband. Jesse, meanwhile, admitted that he sometimes deals with their problems by throwing himself further into his work.

Their marital struggles became serious enough that divorce came up during season 3. However, as of Bravo’s July update, neither Jesse nor Alli had publicly confirmed that their marriage was over.

Jesse also made it clear during a conversation with Alli that he wasn’t ready to give up.

“We obviously both want it to work, otherwise we wouldn’t have stuck it out this long,” Jesse said. “I just think we need to try and find that spark again, I guess.”

For now, Alli continues working in healthcare while she and Jesse navigate their careers, two homes, parenthood and their marriage.
