Salley Carson is spilling new details about her short-lived romance with Steven McBee Jr., including an unexpected confession about his appearance and the disastrous trip that convinced her it was time to leave.
During an episode of “Sex Unlocked,” the new podcast she co-hosts with Lala Kent, Salley revealed that Steven was preparing to get hair plugs around the time she traveled to Missouri to meet him for the first time.
Lala admitted she’s always suspicious of men who constantly wear hats.
“I’m pretty clocked in when it comes to hat wearers. Like, if I go to your Instagram and you always have a hat on, I’m like, ‘Why? Why do you have a hat on all the time?'”
After bringing up Steven, Lala asked if he’d already had the procedure.
“My mom said the same thing,” Salley replied. “And that’s why I went to go and see him.”
When Lala followed up by asking if he’d already gotten the hair plugs, Salley clarified, “No. He was prepping to get them.”

The conversation quickly shifted from Steven’s hats to Salley’s visit, which she admitted did not go as planned.
“Craig helped me escape,” Salley recalled. “Like, I flew out to see him. First time I’d done it. I was terrified.”
She explained that she wanted to leave almost immediately but happened to be in Missouri at the same time as her “Southern Charm” castmate Craig Conover.
“I was like, ‘Craig, I just want to go home.’ He rescued me. He’s like, ‘Let’s get you the (expletive) out of here.'”
Although Salley and Craig had their own ups and downs during season 11 of “Southern Charm,” she said they’ve become close friends despite their complicated history.
“Craig’s a great one in my life,” she said.
Salley’s comments come just a week after Steven reflected on their brief romance during an appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.”
“I think the world of Salley,” Steven said. “We had a lot of fun together in the few weeks that we were hanging out. She actually came up to the farm … I had a blast with her, and she was great with my family, too.”
He added that while they enjoyed their time together, they ultimately weren’t the right match.
“We are very, very different people in the way that we live our lives. It doesn’t make one right or the other. It’s just we are very different people.”

I actually feel bad for him for this and I don’t like him lol. Girls, including Salley, can get Botox, dye their hair, wear a full face of makeup, get spray tans, get their nails done and no one bats an eye but a guy does something for his aging and he’s blasted and made fun of. It’s kind of effed.
