“Love Is Blind” season 11 star Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli explains why she abruptly ended her engagement to Scott “Stew” Stewart moments after meeting him in person.

The skincare entrepreneur stunned viewers when she walked away from Stew after their first face-to-face meeting on the Netflix dating show.

While the episode suggested Jax wasn’t attracted to her fiancé, she now says more was happening behind the scenes.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Jax revealed that she had doubts about their relationship before they ever left the pods.

“There was a lot going on that you don’t see,” Jax said. “It was very black and white how it was showed.”

The reality star also admitted she regrets how she handled the breakup, particularly leaving Stew without giving him an explanation.

Jax Guelli Says Her Doubts About Stew Started Before Their First Meeting

During their reveal, Jax compared Stew’s appearance to Mitt Romney rather than John F. Kennedy, the celebrity he had previously identified as his lookalike.

However, Jax insists his appearance wasn’t the reason she ended their engagement.

According to the 31-year-old, she began questioning their connection during the proposal itself.

“The proposal in the pods, I was like, ‘That didn’t feel right,'” Jax explained. “Then I was like, ‘But OK, I don’t blame him. Proposing is probably not easy to do, especially here.'”

Despite those concerns, Jax decided to continue with the experiment.

She hoped that meeting Stew in person would strengthen their connection and help resolve her uncertainty.

“I went forward, and I wanted it to be like an aha moment, like, ‘OK, now all is well. We have real time chemistry and connection,'” she said. “And it just was not there for me. And unfortunately, I panicked and I left.”

Instead of experiencing the connection she had hoped for, Jax decided to leave the relationship and the show.

Although Jax stands by her feelings about the relationship, she acknowledges that she could have handled the breakup differently.

After meeting Stew, she left without explaining why she no longer wanted to continue their engagement.

“I definitely regret handling it that way. It’s completely immature,” Jax confessed.

“I didn’t even know I was making mistake in the moment because I was so overwhelmed. Usually I can think through my thoughts. I just lost control of my emotions, and all I knew was to go home.”

Jax also emphasized that her decision didn’t reflect Stew’s character or appearance.

“Truly, it had nothing to do with him as a person,” she explained. “It was more of my connection, and I was like, ‘Something just doesn’t feel right, and I just got to go home.'”

Her explanation offers additional context to one of season 11’s most abrupt engagement endings.

While viewers saw Jax leave shortly after meeting Stew, she says her uncertainty had been building throughout the experiment.

Fans will get another look at what happened between the former couple when “Love Is Blind” returns on October 21.
