A new Housewife in Potomac already has plenty of connections to the Bravo world.
Courtney Ajinça has joined season 11 of “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” bringing her celebrity event-planning career, famous husband and family life to the show.
The Charlotte native and Harvard graduate has spent more than a decade organizing high-profile events, including celebrations for some familiar Bravo faces.
Courtney is also married to former NBA player Alexis Ajinça, who has transitioned into coaching after his professional basketball career.
“I have two sons, Carter and Caysen,” Courtney told Bravo Insider. “And I am the wife of NBA player Alexis Ajinca, he’s now a coach. I’ve spent the last decade producing over-the-top celebrity events, some for some of your favorite Bravolebrities. And I just enjoy life and everything that comes with it.”
But despite her experience working with celebrities, Courtney admitted that joining the RHOP cast wasn’t always easy.

@courtneyajinca This was some of the best advice that my Mom & Aunt Karen ever gave me about getting and keeping a provider man!! These words have stuck with me for almost 16 years, so I hope they’ll help you too!! 😘💕 @Lexy42_ ** There are CLEARLY additional qualities that you must possess, but this is ONE quality and word of advice that I was given.. Let’s use our critical thinking skills here. Love y’all! 💕 ** #relationships #marriage #adviceoftheday #fyp
Courtney’s husband, Alexis, is a 7-foot-2 former French NBA center who played for the Charlotte Bobcats, Toronto Raptors, and New Orleans Pelicans.
He has since moved into coaching with the Washington Wizards organization. His Instagram bio also describes him as an entrepreneur, investor, author, producer and real estate developer.
Courtney has built her own successful career as an event planner and is also a minister.
Her celebrity clients include former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Cynthia Bailey. Courtney helped plan Cynthia’s October 2020 wedding to Mike Hill, giving her a connection to the Housewives franchise years before joining RHOP herself.
She also had an existing friendship with fellow Potomac cast member Tia Glover.
“I’m the closest with Tia,” Courtney told the outlet. “She’s actually the godmother of my baby. I love her mom, I love her family.”
That friendship gave Courtney a familiar face in the group, but it didn’t necessarily prepare her for everything that came with filming.
Courtney revealed that her introduction to the Potomac Housewives was more challenging than she expected.
“I really have enjoyed just getting to know these ladies,” she told Bravo Insider.
“Joining this group has been a roller coaster of emotions. There was a time where I was like, ‘I’m done with this, I’m walking away, these girls are crazy.'”
Despite initially considering leaving, Courtney said she ultimately felt grateful for the experience and the friendships she developed.
“But I’m so happy I stuck it out because I really have made some real relationships with these girls and some true connections. And I’m just super grateful for the whole thing.”
Bravo previously described Courtney as someone entering the group while balancing family, faith, and her growing professional ambitions.
