For us Bravo fans, blind items make our favorite shows even more fun to watch. But if you're new to the tea, it's not always obvious where to find them. Here's your guide to where Real Housewives, Reality TV and Bravo blind items actually live, how each source works, and how to read a blind like a pro.
What is a blind item?
A blind item is a piece of gossip published without names. Usually, the subjects are described ("a West Coast Housewife," "a Summer House couple") but never identified, so readers piece together who it's about from the clues. Blind items have been a gossip-column tradition for over a century, and in the reality tv world they're often the first hint of a divorce, a firing, a new cast member, or a scandal… sometimes months before it goes public.
Where can I find Real Housewives blind items?
The short answer: a handful of dedicated gossip sites and accounts. Here are the main places Bravo fans look.
Bravo and Cocktails (that's us) Yes, we're putting ourselves first on our own list — but it's our list, and blind items are literally what we do. Bravo and Cocktails publishes reader- and insider-submitted blind items about Bravo, reality TV, and pop culture every day, with the spiciest ones in our Too Hot for IG section. We broke the story of #Scandoval before it had a name. Blinds come in through our anonymous Send Us Tea form, DMs, and industry sources — and when a blind doesn't pan out, we say so. We cover the receipts in our weekly Cocktails and Gossip podcast, and members of our Cocktail Party community get the tea first.
Online communities Online bulletin boards and discussion forums are where blinds get decoded. Thousands of fans comparing clues, timelines, and receipts. Places like Reddit rarely originate blind items, but you can usually find some good content and snark there a few days after the news comes out.
All About The Real Housewives A long-running Housewives news site covering cast updates, spoilers, and the occasional blind item. It's more news-y than tea-forward — but if you want your gossip with a side of reporting, it's a solid read.
TikTok and Instagram gossip accounts A rotating cast of accounts reposts and dissects blinds from the sources above. There are so many that are worth a follow because we all have unique takes and humor, but remember most are commentary on blinds that originated elsewhere. B’s instagram, @bravoandcocktails started all of this. If you keep an eye on that account, and on Cocktail Party, you’ll be ahead of the pack, because Cocktailers Always Know First. Accounts like @bestofbravo keep a running feed of the best moments and headlines from across the franchises.
How do I know if a blind item is true?
You don't. That's the nature of a blind, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Blind items are unverified gossip and should be read as entertainment. That said, you can watch a source's track record: whether they distinguish rumor from confirmed news, whether they follow up when a blind is confirmed or busted, and whether they're honest when things change. Reality TV moves fast: castings fall through, couples reconcile, people get fired, so even a blind from a good source can be true when submitted and outdated a month later. You will find that at Bravo and Cocktails, we’re usually right. And we’ll tell you when we’re not.
How do I submit a blind item?
If you have Bravo tea of your own, most gossip accounts take tips by DM. At Bravo and Cocktails, the easiest way is the anonymous Send Us Tea form — pseudonyms are welcome, you don't have to use your real email, and we always protect our sources.
