“Below Deck Mediterranean” star Nathan Gallagher allegedly left Australia before he was scheduled to appear in court on domestic violence charges involving his former partner and costar Gael Cameron.
Gallagher was expected at Burwood Local Court in Sydney on September 1 but failed to appear. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, prosecutors told the court that they believed the Irish reality star was now outside Australia.
News.com.au reported that Burwood Local Court confirmed Nathan was convicted in his absence on three charges. Judge Janine Lacy also issued an arrest warrant.
The development comes months after Nathan pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted conditional bail.

Nathan was arrested on December 27 following an alleged incident involving Gael at a unit block in Melrose Park, Sydney, on Boxing Day.
According to a police report obtained by news.com.au, Nathan was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, choking without consent and common assault. He pleaded not guilty to all three charges and received conditional bail on January 15.
When Nathan failed to appear for his September 1 hearing, prosecutors asked the judge to proceed without him.
“Given the serious nature of offenses, and I note on the record I have been given documentation from the Immigration Compliance Operations Division that he is currently overseas,” Judge Lacy said, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
“The defendant doesn’t have any prior criminal history, but the offenses are very serious, with significant maximum penalties, and context of DV committed in the home.”
“I record a conviction and issue a [arrest] warrant,” the judge concluded.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Nathan’s bail conditions did not require him to surrender his passport, report regularly to police, or remain in the jurisdiction.

Gael attended court on September 1 and was prepared to give evidence, according to news.com.au. The hearing did not proceed as planned because Nathan was absent.
The judge also finalized Gael’s two-year apprehended violence order against Nathan.
Bravo viewers know Nathan and Gael from season 9 of “Below Deck Mediterranean.” The two worked as deckhands aboard the superyacht Mustique in Athens, Greece, and began a romance during the season.
They later welcomed their son, Kayden, who is now 1.
More recently, fans noticed that Nathan and Gael no longer followed one another on Instagram. Nathan also deleted his Instagram account in the days leading up to the scheduled hearing.
Before removing his account, Nathan addressed the allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone and said he planned to handle the matter through legal channels rather than social media.
“I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels,” Nathan said. “But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account.”
Nathan Gallagher Also Reportedly Has an Active Warrant in Ireland
Nathan is also reportedly wanted in connection with a separate legal matter in Ireland.
The Donegal Daily reported that Nathan was arrested in August 2022 and accused of “assaulting another man and causing him harm” on the main street in Dungloe, County Donegal.
The alleged incident happened approximately two years before Nathan joined “Below Deck Mediterranean.”
According to The Donegal Daily, a bench warrant was issued by Ireland’s Dungloe District Court in April 2025 after Nathan failed to appear. The warrant reportedly remains active.
Nathan’s current whereabouts have not been publicly confirmed.

Wow!!! He does realize he will likely never have contact with his kid after this?
F*king loser.
Oh my god. What is he doing?! Think of your son.
I feel bad for his son😞.
Woooooowwww… never would have expected this but shows you never know someone truly. SMH. Very disappointed.
Daily Mail came out with specifics. He is so done. I feel so bad for Gael. The police have proof of the marks around her neck and the cuts on her lip.
Most likely out working on another boat somewhere, hope Interpol gets involved.
