UPDATE: More Details Emerge in Below Deck Med’s Nathan Gallagher Legal Case

There has been a major update involving Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher and his former partner and co-star, Gael Cameron.

When we previously reported on the situation, an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) — the Australian equivalent of a protective or restraining order — had surfaced involving Nathan and Gael. Now, additional details about the case have become public.

According to NSW Police and multiple media reports, Nathan was arrested in Sydney on December 27, 2025, following an alleged incident involving a 29-year-old woman at a Sydney-area apartment the previous day.

Nathan was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault.

Police have not publicly identified the woman involved in the alleged incident. However, separate reporting regarding a related Apprehended Violence Order identifies Gael Cameron as the protected person and Nathan Gallagher as the respondent.

Nathan was reportedly initially refused bail before later being granted conditional bail.

Australian media outlet news.com.au has reported that Nathan pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Nathan is currently scheduled to return to Burwood Local Court on September 1, 2026. The AVO matter involving Gael is also reportedly scheduled to be heard that day.

Neither Nathan nor Gael has publicly addressed the allegations in detail, and Bravo has not publicly commented on the situation at this time.

Nathan and Gael met while filming Below Deck Mediterranean and later welcomed a child together, making the developments particularly shocking for viewers who have followed their relationship on and off the show.

It is important to note that these are allegations, and Nathan has not been convicted of the charges.

We’ll continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
